love the reznor, i was influenced by him for the ending of "Suzie and Fred." you might like my other electronic stuff, "Mercury Blues" and/or "Neptune Blues." it's different 'cause i avoid the 4/4, knowwhatimean?
Tomorrow marks the beginning of the RPM Challenge.
So the screwing around I do today should be either tossed or posted to avoid the temptation of using it in my RPM album...
The band had all gone home, and I was left mixing what we had accumulated over the last few months of work on what is to be our "final" album. Things felt over. it seemed like we had reached a saturation point, where we had driven the car as far…
Something I'm working on. I'm a sucker for 5/4 time these days.
The biggest issue is the vocals which are sort of a placeholder right now until I re-write and re-record them, or maybe even find someone who can actually sing to lay something down!
done back in 2006, in my old dreary toronto apartment (i dislike toronto i think).
i don't really like it that much, too repetitive, but i need content up, and others have commented on their enjoyment of this particular song.
Unfortunately, I cannot show the video that accompanies this on here, but I may upload it to youtube and link to it at some point. It is an edited video of a run-through of a haunted house.
Wasting away another weekend with some scales and mode practice on the synthesizers.
all the percussion is from the Juno drum patches and my fingers.
For you folks out there who enjoy the mode stuff this is Phrygian in A
A,Bb(A#),C,D,E,F,G,(A)
I'm human....I bleed. I guess i need to remember that....I'm not superhuman and I won't save the world. The opposite usually occurs...I am swept away in the bleeding of my mind, the bleeding of my heart, my desperate needs and unholy wants…
This is my 3rd home recording. I dug it out again and cleared the moth balls.
"Tart it up a bit" as Sis would say.
I found out that if you rub a strat the wrong way, it will talk back to you. I tried many times to re-create this guitar work…
Comments on mmi's stuff
That is some wild stuff. I thought the alien storm troopers had landed!! Dig it

whohoo! bagpipes?
great Canadian electronica, i'll play your music on my show for sure, www.thenewspin.ca
This is crazy good. I want to describe it as "angular melody". Does that make sense?
this is a really cool track.
great sounding track- love the percussion bits
very cool.
EXCELLENT!
Makes me visualize swimming in peanut butter. Despite that probably unintended imagery, I like it!
sticky beats!
LOVED this track, MMI. It's one of my favorites of yours.
Sweet. Love the authentic airport charm :)
beautiful! can't wait to hear the rest of the record.
Love it- Super nice cut
I love the guitars on this. Great flow as always
Nice grooves! Love the organ sound and the counter-melodies.
Very nice music

Any analog gear involved in this? The beat is gorgeous and oh so simple!

flute + ebow = magic
Yeah, next time I'm in Valles Marineris, Mars I'll definitely be coming to your gigs. Great stuff.
Found some good nuggets in them thar hills.
You've been listening to too much Thom Yorke/Radiohead. Not that there's anything wrong with that :-)
Diggin' it. Spent some time this morning listening to Yo La Tengo and this is fitting right in (hope you're not offended by the comparison).
You may not like this but I think it's a special track.
Magnum opus. Wow.
this just might be scarier without the video. good thing it's the middle of the day here
Wonderful!
Pardon the French but this is fucking awesome!
Perfect addition to my pre-caffeine Monday morning.
One of these days I'm gonna come to the Rock, drink heavily and revel in sounds just like these.
almost perfect for this particular maudlin morning
Glad I stumbled onto this. Great track.
Intense battle or intense hip-hop... Could go either way :-) Minor theory nit. Shouldn't the second note in the scale be Bb?
Wow, that's some special fooling around.
Very very cool. But I didn't have you pegged as a reggae fan. Ya think you know someone... :-)
Holy crap. Glad I didn't listen this last night.
A voice to melt the coldest of hearts.
Thanks for putting this up. 'nuff said.
