As slowly I recall
These letters sent to you
As all things come to pass
I anticipate that I'll leave
This world for a new
Waiting for the letters that you'll send
Civil War
At 300 strong
Into the heart of Dixie we roam
We might be…
Oh, nice rhythms happening here.
1:00 mark... heck yes, man. very tasteful indeed.
I keep thinking, "this is my favourite track so far," until the next track starts. These songs are in the perfect order. This album really grows and unfolds and gets thicker and wider and ...
what is happening at the 2:30 mark? That's bloody awesome man. I didn't see that coming. Too good.
YES! That is a really great, looming, oppressive bass line.
Excellent use of winding and interweaving guitar parts, cycling between the wah and clean bits.
The 2:30 mark is great. Really intense. The way that part rolls on until the release at 3:00 is perfect.
Love the way the drums roll in at the :50something mark.
This builds really nicely. Great backward bits too.
Yeah. That's a very nicely laid out piece of music, right there. Excellent come down. That acoustic foundation lick is really infectious.
Good job man!!! I was not really in time when i recorded it, just got the beat stuck in my head, so you did amazing following with the bass. REALLY LIKE IT!!
A song about falling asleep on the couch, so there is no mystery to it! But the loose change is in the cushions, lights and tv are on, and the oven has been set to 350 for several hours :)
One vocal & acoustic take with a harmony and noodle…
As for recording: if you ever go with a computer set-up, a pretty cheap way to go is a conderser microphone- (i use an akg perception 200) i love the 200, the 220 is newer but made mostly of plastic, and get an Art Tube Preamp. Check it out, this little guy is like 30 bucks, and has a lot of presets for any instrument. Just my opinion, but for your sound it's a pretty neat little setup. You could get more expensive stuff, but everything i use is pretty cheap, and i think it sounds okay. It's not what you have, it's how you use it.

(reply) you what is strange? I rercorded the song a while back, and kept saying, "i like it, but it needs an intro" so i made the intro last night and put it on there...the more i listen to it, i might split them back up....good call..sweet song to by the way

Au Naturale! A song a friend of mine wrote. Performed by me, of course. All recorded on the Boss Micro BR. It's a song about sharing. Very rough, raw and unplugged. Kind of embarrassed to "share" it - Please excuse the mistakes and hacks! One…
Glad one made it to the pie pod. HA HA!! I think i'm re-discovered my acoustic again, thanks to your jammin, so really i should thank you. Now have a cup of coffee for me, since it's still 90 freakin degrees outside!!
I love you. And I'm watching you... :)
All one take into the Boss MicroBR hole and cleaned up a little. I'm the red headed stepchild of recording...
Love You
Some people want to know you
Wanna put their arms around you
Buy you a drink…
This was written while living in the studio. For some reason this song seems like music appropriate for a chase scene. This is all bass and drums...no guitars yet. Vic's working on it.
‘Cut Up’ was a very challenging song for writing bass parts. The guitars in that song are rhythmically dominating. The pay off was a dense piece of music.
There are too many amazing quotes from this film to not sample them SOMEWHERE in my album. Time after time, the 'yo-yo master' line got me laughing, so I thought I'd pay homage to it.
live @ Dunn Bros. in Keller, Tx. 1/29/10
Took me awhile to get my legs here, as evidenced by the sloppy playing. The bulk of this is the tune "Blue Hour".

Your acoustic tone is really nice. What kind of guitar is that?

ALL RIGHT!! A true clutch fan. Man i just picked up the Live at the 9:30 DVD and it rocks! I've only seen them live once, but an amazing band.
I'll have to listen in a few hours when i head home. I'll put it in the car, turn it up loud, and check it out!!
yeah you can add a bass line to that song, that would be sweet!

This is a good one to get me ready for the weekend. I like the progression too.
amazing. I have a new fav. song. Thanks!
dig it
thanks for the kind words, i really dig the strum pattern on this one.
the shit
Nice primus kick to it
Drop the bass just a bit, bring the guitar up a tad, and you've got it. Really there is no right or wrong answer.
Nice feel
Nice groove.
Needed a pick-me-up at work...
Great stuff!
