Remember that last level of old Nintendo games? Late at night stressed out screaming at the television just hoping you will beat the game? The stress? The anxiety?

One of the first songs I ever wrote... When we bought our first house, we had a nice big back yard on a 1/3 acre lot... With the train tracks just on the other side of the back fence.
I have a soft spot for trains as well. In my hometown south of here I enjoyed the trains rolling by old route 66 all the time. Miss them some days.
Also really like the strumming pattern @ the :57 mark reminds me of the train horn
“This Change”: (Richard Hardrick)
Everything change
oceans of life, fight against death (hum)
I'm only a shade (afraid)
I' m trying to find my own way to survive
I'm better hide away, far away.
I can't resist this change
sky or sea…
Reg has met a new girl she’s a little unstable but he loves her just the same................
Time Bomb (Lyrics)
Yeah baby your just like a ticking bomb
Ooh baby your just like a ticking bomb
The only trouble is if you explode
The only trouble…
I find it difficult to believe this is all Midi instruments.
The Midi guitars, bass & leads, I ran through amp sims.
The drums are all Midi. 7 tracks.
Kicker, snare, 2 tom tracks, high hat, tambourine, and a cowbell.
All done on the keys…
ah yes the wonders of modern world...whisper into a microphone and after $6,000 in studio work, your the next pop icon. ;) Killer track. I love the "band" name idea from K. Ha ha nice...

-Lyrics-
When the world is in battle,
It grows hard to see,
The fights that occur within lines.
Constant distraction dispensed
From the top
of the castle
With oil down its sides.
All of the effort
now wasted…
The title track for this year's RPM album. One mic. Live take. Please forgive the missed notes.

Writing while I drive with voices in my mind
Passed along by friends I’ve never met
Trying to stay alive in one place in time…
#4 for the RPM Challenge.
Have you heard this melody before? This is one of those where I wonder if I've unconsciously "borrowed" something from someone. Translation: the Fly Boat, like the tourist boats that ply the river Seine and their bright…
A few months back, Jim (MTC) posted an outstanding acoustic track which summoned up a clear-as-day memory from my childhood. The vividness of that memory resulted in this song... Amazing how such significant events in your life (like recognizing…
Took a sample of a cd skipping (artist was Skip James, irony) and messed with it in Filtatron app, added some awful funk accompaniment that sounds like a soundtrack for a bad porn movie, hence the title.
Another Live performance with former band mates in Scartaglen back in 1988 on the NPR show Mountain Stage. This time a piece of Gaelic mouth music followed by 3 reels. Maybe the most complex arrangement of a set of tunes that we ever did.

Reg had something to get of his chest on number 6 for the RPM because he needs rebuilding after that last relationship..................

TAKE ME TO THE MACHINE SHOP(Lyrics)
My heads whirring…
Song #2 for the RPMC. My goal is to have 12 short tunes (1-3 minutes long), so I need to pick up the pace.
Again, quartal tuning on the top 3 unison pairs of the 12 string. I've been listening to Ralph Towner's Blue Sun, hence the title.
