At the end of this road
Red rock and blue skies
And the wind calls
Plant your roots in the ground
And the clean air that the trees share
You can't hear a sound
Deep in the heart of it all
Morning dew at the sunrise
Covered in fog
Fires…
So many distractions the left's pulling up and the right is undone
Dealing with reaction the motivated mind is a dangerous thing
Son don't pity me I shook the hands and collected the toll
I stood upon the podium and hid the skeletons so they…
This salty man's a salty dog
His travels have left him weary
Got boots all lined up at the door
He's must be carrying stones again...
His salty wife waits on salty shores
Tending the child she carries
Washing his wounds with olive soap…
Whispers for dark words in my subconscious
The belief that reality doubles with your delusions
A thought that a handshake was once considered currency
Or a realization that man is the only predator you fear
Radioactive soul
Ain't got nothin…
Some people talk to me
Ask me what I do for a living
Use some rocks to grind my grain
Little bit of whiskey to tickle the brain
Valley fever giving me rest
Smokestack choked out to my west
Drink a little of the H2O
Give it a little…
The coveting of mystery is not what it used to be.
So silent, we sway as if there was nothing wrong.
So I keep away from me as you get the best of me.
This violent reaction brings longing and painful new poison.
This humbling history is…
We are stolen in both bedlam and peace.
Our riddance is good for queen and country.
Take these pieces and break them into threes.
You slip right out of your self,
and I watch the empty vessel fall away.
We are left holding both the scissors…
Two walkie talkies
Pull over the cops
Paid our monthly fees
Then the money stops
Tiny makeshift farm
Cabbage, turnip greens
Germans built this barn
Fit for royalty
Tumble in the weeds
Hummingbirds and frogs
Naked bumblebees
Multi-coloured…
This is an invitation, with instructions, on how any AT musician can hop a train in the US and get to my house for a jam session. Figured the lyrics needed to mention all 3 of the collaborating musicians home towns cuz they all run along these…
The opening track to this year's RPM album.
PATCHWORK PLAN
You don’t have a job and I don’t have a place to stay
I make just enough for all the bills you have to pay
We won’t roll in dough but who needs money anyway
It don’t sound half…
Got a guitar for my birthday... I have been trying to learn how to play it. This is a cover of an old Smiths song I tried to tackle for Lesson 10 "Finger Picking."
12.10.2013: rerecorded at slightly faster tempo; added small amount of distortion…
This is a Phil Keaggy tune. I swiped his original loop and then built my own thing on top of it. Might have been longer, but my volume swell effect keeps slipping out of sync with everything else. May work on it more at a later date
Got the basic idea for this from Keith Wyatt's Guitar World column (Talkin' Blues, Feb 2014) in which he discusses some of guitarist Grady Martin's work.
A collaboration with buddies of mine from songcrafters.org Just dug it out again today and thought I'd share it.
