Originally I had a Motown idea in mind, and I kept my stomping and clapping, but the song seemed to lend itself to a more spacey-synthey feel, so I ran with it. I also am hinting a tiny (very tiny) bit at Joe Jackson's band's backing vocal styles…

She Cries Diamonds
Written By INT'L
She cries diamonds
Only when she’s sad
She cries diamonds
Only when she’s sad
She’s drowning in diamonds
Because everyday is so bad
She cries diamonds
When she's out in the rain
She cries diamonds…

Oleander Season

It’s oleander season
The cold is turning cool
The reeds are getting sharper
Lying in the pool
Millions of fireflies
Coming from the east
Songs of tomorrow
Songs of the beast
It’s oleander…

Humanatee

I walked away
from the choices I made
I'm lucky I can get old every day
A surprising reminder
I wish I had been kinder
In the words I never chose to say
Just listen to suspicion
Just go and pack…

Great band. My brother and I listened to them on KCRW when driving around LA in 2009. Give your leftover change from the ice cream savings away.

Before the War

Do you remember
Those carefree years right before the war
God, we were so so sure
it would always stay this way
Do you remember
sweat from the ceiling and from the walls
we didn't have a care…

Lyrics for the bridge

Though the answers aren't all known,
Objectivities the myth of plenty,
Who doubt His truth within their soul.

Getting to know the Mother-32.
I go in though the out door
My only smile beneath a mask
Im just looking for a place to hide
Because I’m going nowhere fast
And home is where the heart is
To fortify these castle walls

I’ve put out a call for lyrics for me to add music / turn into a song.
My college buddy Myron Porter responded and here's the result. If you're interested, the original demo I recorded using my phone is at https://alonetone.com/tilden/tracks…

A "duet" between modular synth and the minimoog clone. I have a sequencer driving the melody on the modular while the clone fills the low end.

Recorded late at night on two tracks with the modular synth. One track laying down the pad with the other creating the blips and beeps and later a "tweaked" melody performed by cranking the frequency knob on the oscillator.

A solo performance on the modular synthesizer I built.

Duet piece recorded between a Eurorack modular synthesizer I built and a Behringer Model D (minimoog clone). Tons of reverb and delay for added effect.
