The downside of writing about politics in February of 2016 is that it doesn’t have any meaning in October of 2020. Oh well. This one and “Did I Offend You” were both written back to back on the last couple of days of the RPM Challenge and they feel like two pieces of one song to me. Probably because they are basically the same riff. I don’t care, I like them both.

There is a lot of sauce on the lead guitars. The 2016 version of this had a lot of effects so it seemed okay to do it again. Also, I recorded the leads right after Eddie Van Halen’s death. I was never much of a Van Halen guy, but respect where respect is due, right? Eddie was big on phasers and flangers, so I used them both here as a goofy tip of the cap. As always, there’s also a lot of wah wah… because it’s me.

The rhythm guitars are a Gibson ES-335 into a Klon KTR, into a Malaise Forever Black Lives Matter, into both a Vox AC15 and a Fender Bassbreaker 15. The leads add a Dunlop Crybaby, an MXR Phase 90, and a Mooer E-Lady.
