This song has been recorded twice so far. The original was part of the failed RPM Challenge in… 2011? It might have been 2010 but I’m 90% sure it was 2011. I redid it again a few years later when I was wrapping my brain around GarageBand. I think overall this new version sounds better than the others, but the second version might be a smidge better. Maybe.
The arrangement here is pretty much the same as the second version. I had some electric piano and acoustic guitars on that one and both have been replaced by cleanish electric guitars. I also changed some of the lyrics. They’re still pretty crappy, but maybe a tiny bit less crappy than they were.
The guitar tracks are all Gibson Les Paul Standard into a Fender Bassbreaker 15. Pedals for the rhythm tracks are a Ryra The Klone into a Keeley D&M Drive. The clean parts just switched off the D&M. The leads used a Real McCoy Custom RMC10 wah pedal into a Wren and Cuff Tri Pi ’70 into a Klon KTR for the heavy leads. The quiet lead in the intro used an Earthquaker Devices The Depths into the KTR.
