After an adventure in re-recording the entire song down a third, we came back to the original, tightened and tuned.
Always the self flagellating perfectionist, it still needs a bit more love. Always the pragmatist, it is probably done for now.
This is pretty experimental for me, and even I feel it is way out there. This is a chronicle of a man descending into madness after discovering the truth in the words he has said and deeds he has committed.
Really to me it sounds like cheesy…
Hi Inge! Any new songs lately, or is being a full time mommy eating up all of your time? Listened to "Don't" a couple times. Really nice guitar part and (as always) beautiful voice. Tough topic to sing about, you did it well.
Made when the credit crisis was starting, Volatility refers to how volatile things are in reality and how it results in us being insecure and uncertain about the present and future conditions of our life.
Something completely different- Uilleann pipes(Irish bagpipes) and synth. I wrote this tune over 20 years ago in the style of traditional Irish slow airs. It was recorded way back in 1991 for an album that's been out of print for over 15 years…
I watched as she walked back across the border. There was no one
waiting to question her. she turned back to look at me from the other
side of the fence. I couldn't decide which side of the wall I was on.
Goodbye my Penelope.
Loved this album, it was a whole bunch of fun. The auto-tuning is just nuts, as well as all the bitcrushing and panning and samples. Just a whole 40 minutes of fun. Thanks guys.
Here I attempt to articulate a few distinct feelings of the home, or the affect of cultivating one's own space, or not.
Instrumentation: house keys, pots and pans, long bamboo flute, synth, drum programming, voice(s), and didgeridoo (a real…
A moody solo acoustic thing that I came up with playing in a long forgotten tuning. Just got a new Zoom H4N, so this was recorded in my shop sitting at my reedmaking bench may 12 2009
Sometimes magic happens. Sometimes it even happens to me.
Open D tuning (low to high D A D G A D). Just a practice session where I had the guts to press record.
No drugs. Just beer with dinner. Maybe they put something in the creme brule…
Great feel to this! Sounds like electric guitar music from west africa, completely slowed down and shoved underwater. Very soothing and pleasant to listen to.
Wow, I wasn't expecting such nice response! Thanks for the comments everyone, I'll have to go on an instrumental spree for a bit now :)
@Sister Savage - it's an upright bass, but I agree, it sounds very much like a cello in this case.
Warning: silliness ahead!
alloy (along with this months issue of MusicTech) got me into the creative possibility of gate and pitch shifting effects so I spent a happy morning playing with Logic's noise gate, vocal shifter, and ring shifter…

Heartbreakingly beautiful. Exquisite. There's a word I don't use very often. EXQUISITE. Is that a cello raising its head at the very end?

Damn, glubot continues! This is one hot track. No one could mistake the smell of this tasty dish - mmm, Glu ragu.
Damn, this is Funky with a capital F. Had me getting freaky in my chair.
Wow! Nice laid back groove. Hey, I remember that piano line :) You must have 'cleaned it up' rhythmically, it sits well now. What a surprise!
Heh, right around 2:40, this gets TRIBAL! love it, makes me wanna get up and dancing.
