As Dave rightly guessed, Elvis is not dead. He is alive and well living in our cellar in Sheffield. He kindly agrees to do a bit for us now and again, as he is getting on a bit now and gets out of breath easily. So here he is possibly for the…
She's left, your drunk and on the floor not able to see a future, your friend is trying to help, your not listening, he obviously doesn't understand you need the drink..........
This is a song i always wanted to have a go at and it wasn't until Johnny let me have a go on his representation of it i got my chance. Thanks Johnny for letting me have a go, may you rest in peace............

Ha! I knew it, ...Elvis, brother, you are sounding good for a man your age...and living in that damp cellar can't be good for your arthritis...deadly fun stuff here.
Man, I like the vocals here, thats soul. Musically it feels kinda like a 80's synth song, Kraftwerk or Numan or something like that, the vocal takes it to another place entirely and makes for a very interesting listen. Great, great vocals guys.
Another earworm needing to be expressed - comes to my head when looking at the moon from my garden. I'd love some lyrics - "oh beautiful moon, dah de da da dah" etc but haven't landed on any yet. Its also a bit Taize like, except totally pagan.

After several bottles of wine, thetworegs and I were able to coerce Elvis and a few others down in regs basement to come out for a long overdue collab. After all, isn't October collab month?

Hey Norm there was a knock on the door late last night and guess who was standing there all sultry and pouty .... yes .... you know who! .... it was her wanting in ..... I looked her in the eye and told her to go .... as she turned to leave I noticed her dress was so short I could see her stocking tops ...... I called her name .... Desirea she turned and smiled.........
This is a recording of Norm and me playing together a few months ago. I didnt have any percussion instruments so Norm was on a Roland electric trap set and I had a cello. I looped some of the stuff we did that night, and retrofitted the rest…
The music reminds me of a scene from the streets of San Francisco then Karl Malden’s nose comes into my mind and my mind suddenly goes over the hills and far away ...I like it.
So the lyrics come from another age, but they sounded so relevant to the recent lockdown world, that I decided to stitch them into a completely different track.
So, there ya go!
Aaaaaaar - har har me hearties!! A swashbuckling adventure on the high seas....!! The BBC Symphony Orchestra to the fore again....such a pleasure to compose with.....
Whistling a tune, I walk up to the house and meet a cat on the doorstep. We are going to have supper, and at this time a blizzard begins. April.

So, thought it was time to try something a tad more substantial - hence embarked on a Piano Concerto....here is the first movement of my first, in C minor.......
When my kids were babies, my Dad always used to hum a little tune when he was carrying them and trying to settle them down... it's the sweetest, lilting sound, I've hummed it all my life, always thinking of my Dad when it was in my head. I've…
