Tom came down the cellar this morning so Reg Regged up one of his tunes....... Straight out of the Micro Br i'm still trying to figure it out but it's coming..............
This one has caused quite a bit of discussion between us on how it should be mixed. Has anyone got an opinion because we would like to know how you would have mixed it, where would you have put the bass, piano, drums, voice, guitar etc. Any constructive…
Guys, this is great!
Thanks! My dad taught me to jive when I was about 5 years old. He used to have my sister in one hand and me in the other on the dance floor. He was a drummer!
I bought a thing called an irig for the I pad and an app Amplitude ...i used the onboard mic on the ipad......the song is my version of take it easy baby it's been Regged.... I still have to work out how to mix it .........I did this while sitting…
Reg has been reading a lot lately he's currently reading an interesting book called "Storming Heaven LSD and the American Dream by Jay Stevens" and so he decided to revisit A Toast to the Stone-age he did with Norm during Johnny's death and before…

No it’s Nothing but a shakedown
Can’t we let this go

Reg had a bit of tiff with the Mrs so he stormed down the cellar to release his anguish with Elvis and turned it into this little beauty .....now he feels a lot better and is making Mrs Reg a nice cup of tea to say sorry....because lets face it…

Excellent work! Welcome back other Reg!
@ Beth: Well, since you had to ask! Yes, the percussion here is very nice: I would classify this not as Bossanova (a Brazilian pattern built upon Samba type rhythms). To my ear, this is afro-cuban and would be in the "Son" (aka Salsa) family, in which the "2" is the primary accent. There are a variety of patterns in this family, differing primarily in tempo:
Bolero; Guajira<104; Danzón = 104-132; Cha-Cha = 108-126; Son = 122-224; Son Montuno = 184-216; Mambo = 224-264.
i think the title says it all.....the easy ones from the Beatles music book........More Regged up beatles but no Elvis he has gone off in a sulk he never did like them and he thinks were doing too much of them.......

excellent really enjoyed the deep dark ride..........i imagine the dictator swaying with eyes closed, conducting the orchestra as his troops quell the dissent outside the palace gates...........

If i thought i needed more it'd be for selfish reasons
If i didn't think that i had it all i'd be kidding myself
So whats ever left out there it's for your taking

This traditional Cuban rhythm is the well established "go-to" pattern for 4/4 songs. It is perhaps the most commonly heard conga pattern in 4/4 music. The bongo pattern that accompanies the congas is referred to as "martillo" (the hammer…
My first RPM cover of 2011. This one is "Like This" by The Missed Connections. I seem to have taken a darker turn with the song than Amelia did. It wasn't intentional, but it seems to be what I do when I cover her songs.
While I'm certain there are those who may be growing weary of scratching, I couldn't resist posting this great mix by Alister Flint, who is truly a master mixologist extraordinaire - he didn't even have individual tracks to work with! Al was too…
Out on the lawn there arose such a clatter!
Sometimes, as they say, Christmas do come early. I found Johnny Stone's "Christmas Rock In Oz" under the tree and couldn't wait until Yuletide to unwrap it. What a rockin' gift! I know a bit about…
In October back in 2010, Holdempok and myself had a little jam session in his garage. After the cops had come and left....LOL, we settled down and Mike said, let's jam some blues.....

I'm not superstitious, but ... I did not want to end the day with 13 uploaded songs. :D
Here is another old one. Not mixed as good as I think I could do it now, but it could be much worse. ;)

I strapped on my acoustic and had a go with this great song. Recorded in one go straight into my Boss microBR built in mic. No fussing around wit this one.
This started out as an acoustic piece that turned out kinda bluesy.
Inspired by current events.

OH! Smooth! Wonderful rhythm, is that Bossanova? This is lovely Reg. Dear Reg, this could be the prelude to a few more interesting encounters?

Thats it. This year, im making it a point to fly to England and find Reg's cellar. Not only to meet the King, but also to play the £16 guitar
