A first venture into open G tuning ....... Poor old Reg has been let down by a lot friends in his time and now he's down to just a few fingers on one hand .........So he thought he'd write a song about it ... Gibson acoustic tuned to open G recorded…

I've used G for years and years and years for slide playing... and it's only recently I discovered that G is the secret to this guitar part (that I've loved for even longer!). I think I watched some Earls Court footage a couple of years back and the penny dropped.
