you tell me what you want
you tell what you need
i cant give you nothing honey
but this pretty little seed
where has the sun gone
and is it gone forever
will it come back someday
should we just give it some time
i ask you what…
the sun rises every morning
i hear those feet upon the floor
im pretty sure that you are beside me
everythings the same as it was before
our son jumps in bed and lys between us
holds us together as the light drifts in
you are the flower of my…
i am thinking about words tonight
they can be hard as nails
they-can be as shapeless as water
they can break your heart
they can hang like a chain
hold you up for years
cause you to think twice
take away your fears
you are falling in love…
i saw the curtains changing color
i watched the sun room come alive
i have been sitting in this rocker
wondering when you might arrive
i am hoping for redemption
cant stand the way i feel
i know it is only passing through me
rivers flood…
People
maybe, maybe im in trouble
maybe there is someone out there that is mad at me
i know that when i see it in your eyes
when i here it in your crys
your in trouble too , ...
people are all the same it doesnt matter
somehow we learn to…

2009 Record Production Month Challenge offering. Very pleased with the collective results. The title came from my friend Zane. His iced tea was in a damaged cup. Thus the title. There are various quotes in the song including some from Mishima…
Lyrics:
I'm not sleeping
I'm staring at the ceiling
My mind's a thousand miles away
I'm finding faces in the shapes
of plaster that was scraped on the ceiling
Killing time is not so bad
but when you're trapped inside your head…
i like the piano melody. the weaving and the desending happy feel that rolls into the electro beat. i enjoy doing that myself.
nice job all the way around
tim
Rhythmic groove with bass and "guitars". In addition to the obvious bass track, the two distorted "guitar" tracks are actually also basses, EQ'ed and altered with various effects to sound less bassy and more guitary.

Standing at the edge of Canyon de Chelly in Arizona at sunrise last summer I had an out of body experience.
start here at the airport
feels like im going blind
middle of the day in a dark bar
1000 miles away from peace of mind
im tring to remember
when i was a kid
did the sun set in my back yard
i think it did
what comes before and goes on…
really clean sound. reminds me of the windham hill label. i like the string and fret sounds as well. this was my first year doing the rpm challenge and i have found so many talented and inspiring artists, you being one

all i know is i love you

that keeps my heart in line

it is always unexpected when a tune gains popularity. that song came together so quickly.it was truly inspired. that was a one take vocal. quit often i will harmonize with the main voice. but i knew soon after i recorded the first that that was enough
i really appreciate your input and support
tim
that is not a sample you hear in the background, it is the dryer going. leave it in? okay, sure i'll leave it in. it's these artistic decisions we're all forced to make.

i can get you the other versions. for me most of the time it is a matter of whittling the recording down, finding the silence among the sound,
Honest, heartfelt, and beautiful to boot. Nice...
