Funk is my first love but a close second is disco with house right on its heels.
This track is a mix of all three...a funky disco house track. No funky guitars but I've got my fingers crossed that the groove is funky enough.
Anyway lots of synths…

I was inspired to make this instrumental track when I heard some great drum loops made by alividlife and uploaded to Looperman.
I hope you enjoy listening as much as I did making it.
Honestly I have no idea where this came from or how.
I was messing with Omnisphere patches and came across a lovely, flutey, breathy sound that put me in mind of the scenes inside the monolith at the end of 2001. I setup a Rytme pattern to…
I think I dislike this song, but it's been sitting in my bounce folder far too long and something about it still makes me play it from time to time. Maybe you will like it more than I do. the simple lyric is not meant to be interpreted literally…
I love the fact that you are honest about the fact that you're not sure if you like the track. I sometimes feel like that about tracks of mine.
I really like this and actually don't know why you don't like it. It's really got me bouncing along to it...very good.
Rough sketch of a proposed dreamy 12 string piece that I couldn't pull off on the 12 string so did this quick electric version with vocal pads. Not sure of the recording quality- sounds OK in my cans and kinda crappy on my monitors. Recorded march…
I think if I was going to write...which I promise myself one day that I will...I would use this track for inspiration. When I listen a little story unfolds in my mind. Very nice.
At the end of 2003, I was recording a bunch of covers in my basement in Portland, Oregon. This was the only original recording from that time. I was pretty bummed out at the time...
I found this very gentle and soothing to listen to. I like the glitch sound elements of the track. Listening I can imagine myself on a train journey gliding through the countryside as the rain falls outside. Thank you for the journey.
I heard a story about you
I didnt want it to be true
But it felt like it might
You, well it was all about you
and how the things that you do
Seem strangely undone
And life doesnt help out the weak
A lifetime tends to bring you some…
Something completely different- Uilleann pipes(Irish bagpipes) and synth. I wrote this tune over 20 years ago in the style of traditional Irish slow airs. It was recorded way back in 1991 for an album that's been out of print for over 15 years…
Another build of Rytme, another experiment. This time the major change is that Rytme now provides a deep level of control over rhythm density which I use here to layer the more ghostly piano over the Liquid piano (both are Logic presets). I use…
Thank you for listening to my track and leaving a comment.
This work of yours seems to have an underlying cinematic feel to it...it is not only good to listen to, but conjures up images in my mind.
A moody solo acoustic thing that I came up with playing in a long forgotten tuning. Just got a new Zoom H4N, so this was recorded in my shop sitting at my reedmaking bench may 12 2009
Thank you for listening to my track and for the nice comments.
I really love the rich sounds that you have in this track. It's very soothing to listen to...a really nice composition.
A further march down the road in acl's evolution - and one of the many directions we've been dying to get to... it's, ummm, water-y. (And this song is especially dedicated to J Wentz.)
As soon as I heard the opening bars of the piano I knew that I was going to like this track. I think you mentioned watery in your description and this does remind me of a river meandering along through rugged countryside on a warm summer day. Thank you for sharing and your recent comments about my latest upload. Elaine
Yo-Yo Ma uploaded this cello part on indabamusic and invited others to create with it. I thought it was a cool idea. I had help with this christmas song from Matthiew, a wandering Parisian trumpet player.
The title in itself was amazing...so I had to listen to the track.
LOL...maybe the subject isn't totally my cup of tea...but I liked the beat and your vocals were nice and clear.
Thank you for the positive feedback that you've given my tracks.
I absolutely adore the piano and I understand why this is a favourite of yours...a beautiful and timeless piece.
Inspired by a gorgeous recording on a wax cylinder by the composer, Tanburi Cemil Bey (1873-1916).
Performed on politiki lyra (classic kemençe), a small bowed fiddle from Istanbul.
Recorded at The Banff Centre, November 2008.
Here is my practice run, 1/12 of the 24hour album. 2 minutes of music in two hours. This track was fun to make. I started with the acoustic guitar, added the bass, then the beat. To get a particular sound that I had in mind, I did a little beat…
