Really nice song Andy, I've often thought that one man and a guitar is the hardest thing to put over. There's nowhere to hide. No need to worry about this. If I had only read the lyrics it would be enough, to have them to music is a bonus.

It's three mics. A Rode NT1000 large condensor for the vocal. The guitar had two SM57s on it, one at the 12th fret, one just below the bridge, panned hard left and right.
If I had more condensors I'd use them on the guitar - when I track things separately I always use the Rode on an acoustic (unless it's a resonator, that pushes a condensor too hard) - using the 57s like this seems to produce are fair amount of hiss!

If I had a pound for every time I played this I could probably buy a very nice Gibson, but I would love to have done it just like this. I bet this was closer to how it was written.

Love the first section, and then when the second section cuts the phrase down I'm thinking "but I loved that widdly bit!!" ... but really quickly I'm in the groove and digging it and I've forgotten it until I listen to the track again. I've listened three times now and it has the same effect on me every time. Mighty cool.

The thing is though, "Late at night... the shadows... creep across my wall" are really good lyrics! Feel no shame, the angst-ridden 15 year-olds knew what they were doing! lol .... Cool sounds, looking forward to the vocals.

Erwin B - bass, recording

Awww yeah... very tasty. Loved the title when I saw the notification - was wondering how you'd treat it... it's just wonderful. Cool song, and the performance/recording is smooth and lively at the same time. Love the groove, and the playing from everyone is perfect - like a coiled spring but with great restraint... YEAH!
Do you know where the title comes from?

Oh yeah LOVE those guitars... the drums, bass and guitars just gel so gorgeously. And that title makes for a superb chorus. Makes a lot more sense to me here in a song than it does as a theme park motto!! lol
Round two of what?
I'd tell you if I had even the slightest idea.
I'm pretty pleased with this one. Well, I don't completely hate it at least. I think it could have benefited from some rehearsing, which during 50/90 is asking a lot…
Nice one... I do like that "Here comes round two" hook... And I've just looked up 50/90... you're a crazy man!!! Crumbs, a song every two days for 3 months solid!! I could probably write the songs, but I could never record them in that time frame! Anyways - mighty cool, I shall keep listening and cheer you on from the sidelines.
Do you ever have an idea / song that you just need to get out of you and recorded, even though it's so rough that you'll want to re-do it over and over again? This is one of those for me....

Nice take on a great cover.
Nice job Andrew! I really like the laid back feel to it. Your voice is especially good. Great cover of a great song.

These two, and having them as the soundtrack to reading up about what exaptation is... wow, very thought provoking...
Oh yes, very cool.
Cool and interesting sounds... and once again I learn a new word... Definitely listening to 2 now!

That's really cool, like it.
Nice one. I'm sure I've heard you sing this before? But I can't find it anywhere... Anyways, I'm fairly certain this is a new version - and it's fab

Oh yes, we like those Black and White movies too. Good to hear some more H R Music. Love the relaxed vibe of this one.
Oh yeah, powerful song. Love the imagery of "Drive until the signal dies".
