i agree with williew,, the less you use,,(man and guitar) the harder it is to pull off,,, and indeed you do it here! i love the quiet understated , personal, right with you feel of this... and that's not even speaking of the lyrics,,, simply put "to die for",, beautiful, you have made my sunday eve,, quite magical,,, r

Lovely stuff, Mr Russe. Your voice is sounding very cool indeed. Great control - great story telling, showed off perfectly in this stripped down arrangement.
Lala, x.
I was flapping around working on something else with just vocal and guitar the other day. It wasn't going well, so I just started slapping the guitar and singing one of my favourite songs.

Really nice song Andy, I've often thought that one man and a guitar is the hardest thing to put over. There's nowhere to hide. No need to worry about this. If I had only read the lyrics it would be enough, to have them to music is a bonus.

It's three mics. A Rode NT1000 large condensor for the vocal. The guitar had two SM57s on it, one at the 12th fret, one just below the bridge, panned hard left and right.
If I had more condensors I'd use them on the guitar - when I track things separately I always use the Rode on an acoustic (unless it's a resonator, that pushes a condensor too hard) - using the 57s like this seems to produce are fair amount of hiss!

Aww... this SO needs the busted fave button...
What a return!
Fabulous.
Wonderful groove, excellent vox, and a really catchy chorus.
And the instrumental - bliss...
And then how the lead vox steps out from backing vox after the instrumental. I assume it's intentional, but if not - DO NOT FIX IT!
Superb track.
Excellent performance by Gene on programmed drums, rhythm guitar and bass, with Farrell on lead guitar. I'm on vocals. Hope you enjoy us on this old Zep Classic................

This is the fourth of seven for the 2013 NaSoAlMo. I think this was the first thing I worked on, but everything is so disorganized right now that I haven't got a clue anymore.
Four part harmonies in the chorus. Yes, a first for me. Sure…

This is a very old tune that finally got recorded the way I had always envisioned it. The only thing missing is real drums, but I think the midi drums could be worse. :)

We've always adored this song, there is another version but decided to re-record it. Now I think the Good Wife sounds quite good, when I think of the crap health problems she endured over the last 4 years. I am bias of course !!!! Lastly apologies…

...Phew! lol Like it. A more sprawling and spaced-out take on it.
This better be good... (fave LZ song)
Nice one. Like the harmonies - do more. And very tasty guitar playing.
Oh crumbs, yes, very splendid geetar. And sounds fabulous.
:)
Oh yes, like it.
Like how you're using the delays for harmonies. Tasty playing.
Woo! (widdly-woo? lol) That's pretty darn impressive.
Gorgeous sound!
Don't know the original... Like this, though :)
Short and sweet! I'm intrigued as to how this is all going to fit together.
Oh yes, and this one.
