sort of alice in wonderland or maybe you might read something else from it. that's up to you.
They've switched off all the lights
they're out to lunch
they've all gone to the party
they're having tea and scones
the hatter calls for silence…
Missed this one. Tis mighty fine, mighty fine.
Paints big pictures. My only complaint is that it went away too abruptly for my liking - that 4 minutes went by very quickly
got a new ukelele still trying to tame it.
recorded 3 tracks of uke and one of vox on micro br using onboard mic, still trying to tame the onboard mic.

Not sure where I was going with this, but it ended up quite dreary for what I thought were quite motivating lyrics.
Watch this space, it may well appear again with more upbeat music.
Lyrics:
I choose the light to drive away the darkness

I see what you mean about the motivating lyrics and how it ended up. But it really works like this. And like others have said, the harmony vocals are fabulous.
A world of corridors corporate finance

It's the law of the jungle the mantra they chant

The End of Love (Lyrics)
She said she was a dreamer
So why did she lie
She told me she loved me
I had to ask her why
She couldn't look me
straight in…
The first song I wrote, and yes Fran nicked it !!! It's about the nightmares she was having, which was keeping me awake at night. Same old dream about her childhood & her mother, say no more !!
Fine song. And really the first one you wrote?
Wish I could get my missus to go near a microphone... I've got her as far as wearing headphones in the studio and passing comment on what's happening... but I can't get her to contribute any noises (apart from turning on the washing-machine when I'm trying to record a vocal!)
Lyrics:
You think you know what you’re talking about
You get your way when you scream and shout
Look all around, you’ll find someone to blame
I’m just a pawn in your little game
I thought you were special, that was my mistake
You thought…

Not sure whether I should really find "break up music" so restful (not the break ups I've been through anyway!) - but I did this. Wonderful feel to it. Enjoyed it a lot.
I find this one is the most accessible of the ones I've listened to. I really shouldn't like this stuff, but I find it strangely appealling - I'll be back to give some more of it a go. :-)
The last one for the day....what can i say it had to be done.....
Broken Dreams(Lyrics)
We’ve all had dreams broken
we’ve all wanted the absurd
i dream of being loved again

i’ve been waiting for a long time

The instrumental on its own didn't grab me (sorry MTC! It was mighty fine but it didn't move me). But this... wow, not only does it work like this - very well - it makes sense of the original instrumental for me.
Fine FINE work chaps.
Still like it :-)
Faved this one as well. It's got a bigger, wider feel. I think it's the same lead vocal track? If not it's still got popping on it - do you use a pop-shield?
We did four versions of this song - all with different guitars (or combinations thereof). This is version 2, my own favorite version.
You can find all four versions at my web site:

Comments on Andrew Russe's stuff
What a sad tale. I love your voice and your diction is perfect.
Andrew, welcome to Alonetone. Oh love your sound. Man, you're really good. A little gruesome lyrically, but brilliantly well performed.
Great tune.

Glad I found the legendary uke tracks :-) Listening to them all now, this one is my favourite so far.
Nice one :) You've got a cool "70s" rock/pop combo going there.

Compelling tale and wonderful backing for it.
This thetworegs/Billy jack pairing works really well. Love the riff in the verses on this one.
Oh wow - love it! Just found you off someone else's list of recent favourites... Faved and followed immediately! :-)
This is fab... Excellent vocal, and I love the guitars

Yep, I can see Alvin Stardust doing it too...
I can't believe I didn't fave this last time I listened to it. Fixed!
I like this a lot. I love the descending banjo into the chorus.

Wow. I didn't understand it at all... But I did kinda like it - you had me listening all the way through. Gonna check out some more.
I missed this, how did I miss it? Fabulous!

Very smooth. Lovely live feel. Fine song and arrangement. And what a voice the man has! :-)
Rockin!! Almost convinced me to put away the acoustics and start doing some electric again. Loved it.
