A funky tune about my step-dad. This is an out-take from my RPM09 effort. I used the rock version for the cd, though in retrospect I think this version is better! Oh, well...

This was an RPM track back in the day, and I've been playing it various ways to find a setting for it within the band repertoire. This doesn't sound much like our band would do it but it came out nicely, so i thought i'd share it.
Another lyrically-challenged collaboration with jip1965, who sent me a guitar, bongo, percussion track with a recorder playing named, simply, 'Love'.
I added the piccolo, crystals and windchimes from my virtual keyboard, renamed it 'What is…

I've been trying to put another one of Mike's poems to music, but not getting anywhere.
Then jip threw this music at me, saying he hated it and asking if I could do anything with it. Pieces of Mike's poem went in and I sent it back to jip with…
Well, here we go then...

Yeah you know what it is that I want
Oh you knew, didn't you, before I did?
How many times did you wonder whether I would dare?
Oh never mind...
Take off your underwear

So I was locked in the broom-cupboard, checking out some old songs that need recording.
I'd just picked one and then suddenly this thing came out of nowehere. It started with one of those guitarist doodles that other musicians love so much…
First new one from me in a long time.
Kind of a love song, I guess.
Recorded in my new "studio" (3rd bedroom in the new house). Almost up and running now... shine and don't stop wondering!

On my way…
A new original from me. Another one-voice, one-guitar, "live" performance in my broom-cupboard. This time it's the good ole tin guitar.
I wrote this one in 2002 during the "dark years" lol. I've ummed and aahed over the years on whether to…
Not sure where I was going with this, but it ended up quite dreary for what I thought were quite motivating lyrics.
Watch this space, it may well appear again with more upbeat music.

I choose the light to drive away the darkness

Hi Lady, thanks for the offer of beepy bits. Likewise, if you need any dubby/funky bass or geetar... This tune's growing on me, by the way. Sometimes I'm a bit too quick with my verdicts! :)x

Great song-writing!
wow this is fun!
Feels good...good energy...I'm a big fan of the tambourine.
A great relaxed feel and richly melodic...a real memorable track!
Love it! Bluegrass with a British accent! Oh that's right, Americans are the ones with the accent.
Amen!
I felt the same way about my 86 Buick!! (sniff)

Hey Stu, people are asking if you're gonna be RPM-ing this year. Hope so!
Oh Tess, still making lovely music. You gonna RPM this year? Hope so! x
Lovely vibe to this tune. Feel like I'm sitting in a sunny field with a big one burnin'!
Oh Stu, you never disappoint! Beautiful.
Cool jazz man - very Blue Note. Love it!
This deserves respect for the title alone! Great tune too
Weirdly reminds me of the Velvets with Nico! Catchy little pop tune you got here
This rocks like a mother! Nice one
Sweeeet! It's early morn but need to listen again late at night with a large bourbon. Another excellent track Mr Russe
Weird but wonderful.
Man, I wish I could play lead guitar like that. If I had any hair I'd be shakin' it! Excellent.
Nice groove. Ever heard any Fred Eaglesmith? Backing reminds me of his band - a very good thing in my world!
Wonderfully bluestastic tune. Great vocals. Love the Muddy Waters-ish guitar too.

Fantastic! Love it when it really kicks in around the three minute mark. Now THAT'S the way to do a cover. Nice one Lady Jane
Reckon you could do a fine dance version of this, my favourite, Rolf tune!
