*applause*
A masterful album, RPM or otherwise, crammed with cunning lyrics and kicking riffs. Quite the adventure from start to finish. Let me know when the mastered version is available. Loved it, loved it.
Deliciously heartfelt. Quite beautiful, revealing lyrics. We also lost a close friend last year. This song touched me...especially the part from 4 mins, when you repeat the line about "hearing a song you liked". What a wonderful tribute.
A song for my lovely lady. She hates this kind of tune and the original lyric was "shit hippy music was never her thing" but I bottled out and changed it. Part of my RPM 2015 effort
A good friend of mine has unpleasant and potentially serious health issues. Not sure if I should have written this, but I did. Part of my RPM 2015 effort
Full title is 'I love you girl (it's just the rest of the world that I can't stand). Something I say to her often and is true. Except you, you're all right! Part of my RPM 2015 effort
This is how I feel when I'm gripped by depression, which has been a bit too often recently. Feeling ok at the moment though. Part of my RPM 2015 effort
A tune I wrote and recorded last year as a result of a good friends hungry teenage daughter sitting in the dance tent at the Sunrise festival chanting 'pizza, pizza!'. Working on a new album if yer interested. New tracks soon with any luck.
Another angry song. My boss once handed me a spreadsheet about cost prices from vendors and said "I don't like the way this looks". I wondered if the upper management looked at salary costs the same way, and that led to this song.
One night I was seated in a lounge chair in my back yard when the thought ocurred to me. This is nice, but is this all there is? Is this the reason I work? Is this the reason I pay bills and worry about the future and make sure my kids do their…
The vodka, ahhh. One of 3 that I recorded to a dimming flashlight during a power outage.
One take into the Micro BR hole with some harmony and noodle overdubs.
Vodka
I want the vodka
'Cause I know it's gonna make me play better…
Thanks for your kind comments on my RPM effort. Love this tune, nice guitar work on this (and Bodybag) but I especially like the lazy, atmospheric vocal. Nice one
Lyrics by Brian McCloskey in somewhat of a suprise collab. Musically a kind of feel-good soul-pop. I quite like how this turned out, and nominated it my prefered RPM-track this year.
New version uploaded 12 Dec 2010.
Part 2 - Courtroom and Sentencing.
Courtroom.
In which Angela cross examines the accused and his accomplice.
Sentencing.
In which Judgement is passed.
Call the first witness
Make you take the stand
Raise up your right hand…
This is from our album, "When I Was Your Age," recorded entirely in the month of February for our third year participating in the RPM Challenge. "When I Was Your Age" is a collection of 13 songs looking back at when we were kids.
this song was inspired from an ee cummings poem. it was composed for rpm 2009.
lyrics:
i'll tell you a dream i had once
up in the sky blue everything
flying away a kite on a string
i didn't have anything
i was cool you were warm…
I heard someone say to an undergraduate class, 'you're on your way to everywhere' and I loved that line. This is sort of a Beatle-esque tune. My friend Mike Levine stopped by while recording a showed me a new jig on the mandolin. I recorded…
this is the slightly sparkly version of my version of Moschell's "Boxes and Strings" from his 'Circus of Freaks and Fools' RPM Challenge CD. I recorded it as a video last night and redid it in the studio (unfinished sauna) today.

Love the link between Magic Flight and this campfire classic in the making! Sweet like cocoa on a cold, dark night. *holds lighter in the air*
Wildly inventive!
Yeehaw! Hang on baby! :-D

Supersweet!
Breezy song at the very beginning, sounds a little retro, and then you seamlessly switch feel and groove. Very cool!
Great vibe right from the get go. Love that frisky bass. The chorus tips it over the edge...I suspect an ear worm...
Touching and introspective. I would miss you, especially if you're going to churn out more tracks like "Unhinged" and "Leaves in the Autumn". ;)
Right up my street - gritty folk flavours. Super sweet harmonies.
This is more like 10 tracks, isn't it? OVER-AWESOME.
Awesome riffage, great energy - fabulous album opener!
absolutely brilliant!
haha - glad I finally got to this one! Schweet!

Love your lyric writing, ER. Very engaging vocals too. Excellent RPM album.
Definitely not where I want to be, but I guess I'm stuck here along with most others! Fab horns in the middle section.
Fantastically shambolic! Made me laugh and laugh and laugh. Brilliant

Fine tune, nice harmonies on the chorus. Shame the great guitar work is a little buried in the mix, but a winner none-the-less.
Great guitar sound. Neat slide break. Funky harp. Heartfelt vox. Winner all round!
Lovely feel to this tune. You've a great voice Mr Srtummindude.
Hey Gumbo, pleased to hear yer still on top form. Lovely little tune this.
Great tune. Lovely harmonies! Beach Boys meet early Genesis - no bad thing in my world.
Gonna click the heart, add it to my faves, gonna click the heart and add it to my faves...
Great song! Had me laughing for ages. So true, so true...
Excellent. Made me laugh. Always good. Not often you hear a dual kazoo break!
Do like your laid-back vibe. Reminds me a bit of Iron and Wine but better! Good stuff
Sgt Pepper meets Wilco! Excellent song, beautifully done.
Great feel to this tune. Love the mandolin and lazy vocals. Nice one. Faved it!
Must be rpm jukebox, ain't up anywhere else. Another fine tune, by the way!
