This was a write it and record it in one session song challenge that my songwriting friends and I came up with this week. Lions and Lambs was started thinking of spring, but it turned into a song about relationships... as they often do.

Update: Paul took the first version and made it even better. So impressed with his talents. Thanks everyone for your kind words on the original. I know you'll like this version even more!
I was listening to some of Paul Lennon's great…
Nicely done Colleen! Pretty melody and a really resonant situation with different meaning for everyone. Traveling alone is really big idea! Thanks for sharing it.

This is my second piece for the RPM challenge... And it's a big milestone for me... the first time I ever played my own instrument along with it! It's rough, but you gotta keep trying and start somewhere, right? Greg Connor... you'll understand…
I wrote this song while out hiking some awesome trails in Zion National Park... gave me some excellent inspiration. I also tried some different stuff with the mixing and using my keyboard... so trying to push a few of my envelopes...
Here…
Colleen, thank you for your kind words. I count you as a part of what I like to think of as the Easy Folk gang, along with Greg Connor, Mark Imsdahl, Steve Krell, Terry Brown, Roger Harris, Ron Rouch, Big Time Operator, Paul Lennon, James Michael Taylor, and several other good people on AloneTone who have found their way into my heart and mind.
AloneTone is huge, with literally HUNDREDS of member musicians. But if you go to the site's home page, click on "Artists" and then "dedicated listeners," you'll find me in 1st place. My other three profiles on AT are also on that first page. Add them all together and you will note that I take AT seriously, and I've come to know who out of the hundreds are particularly special artists to follow, not just for their talent but for their heart.
There are some on AT who are mind-blowing musical geniuses, but who will never thank you for a comment and never play your music. Then there are those who may not be particularly awesome, but they'll play every song you post. As you may have heard, I'm not suppose to be in this world much longer -- I've already lived beyond my doctor's prediction -- and with what extra days I'm blessed I've been dedicating to AT as a listener.
And when I go, all I have to leave the world is my music. I want people to play my music when I'm gone, as a way of keeping me alive. And I can't want that without lending my own ear to others while I'm here. But there's a lot of music on AT and only so many hours a day to play any of it. But I know who on AT appreciates the listen, and who doesn't care if I listen or what I think or even if I exist.
So I dedicate my time and ear to those who do care. People like you. And when I find AT people who care, people like you, in my mind I add them to my Easy Folk gang. Welcome to the gang. It's a blast having you in the mix.
Happy Sunday Alonetoner's.
I wrote this song yesterday as I had some recent events to ponder.... I hope you like it. Trying for a bit of a bluesy feel. If you'd like to download it and add some background blues bass or guitar, or harmonies…

At least 3 of my favorite musicians are hanging in or about Minneapolis, namely, Greg, Mark, and Colleen. Must be all the snow and moose sightings that keep y'all so artistically inspired.

Written and recorded as part of our family RPM project this year. :-D
13 year old Jasmine on vocals and ukulele.
We wrote and recorded 10 songs under the name Cattica. It was just the best month of lockdown imaginable.
So, thought it was time to try something a tad more substantial - hence embarked on a Piano Concerto....here is the first movement of my first, in C minor.......
My second for the 2021 RPM is about a sayong Ning Surasiang one of the Brides on Bride at first sight came up with The feels which is to describe the feeling just before falling in love . Thanks for listening
When I first met you you did…
I've put out a call for lyrics for me to add music / turn into a song. My college buddy Myron responded and this is the demo I recorded using my phone.
I'm working on a full production (backing tracks recorded, still need to record guitar solo…
I wrote this one morning but gave up tryin to sing it . then I asked my buddy Steve Schostal to do vocals . His Canadian accent was perfect for this . Notice how he leads the beat ‘wow perfect.
I love Colabs
This is my contribution to the Song Writing Challenge: Write a song about "First Date".
Written for Minnesota Homebrew Radio Show / Pioneer Radio 90.1 Thief River Falls.
A new song.
I did this one on my own
Due to the corona curfew here we can't play with the band
A song about collecting, and the piling of stuff that can become a burden
--------------------------------------
I have been gathering so much…
This song was inspired by a long walk....
Lyrics:
Down by the river, down by the shore we go
The moon above cast a beautiful glow
We walked around talking through the night
I can’t help but think how it felt right
Hey Constance, don’t you feel…

I liked what Big Time Operator did with your vocal track. Great voice indeed.
Delightful!
Lovely lyric. Really sets the scene. "Lost in this canyon Sun upon my face" The expression of hope and longing...
The harp is a very nice touch.
