(Em) A legend that the sailors told
Tales shared from long ago

Whispered roars that fade away

Only (C) heard…
I think I remember saying once, about one of your other songs, that it was the best one yet. Now I am forced to change my mind. This is really good all the way around - lyrics, melody, arrangement, instrumentation - great job Greg.
Lyrics:
After the Sun goes down
Lay in bed no sleep to be found
And the shadows dance on walls
After the Sun goes down
Just a reflecting time
The clock just seems to unwind
The silence gets so loud
Just a reflecting time
It won…

Oh it's just fab.
You've actually got me singing along on this one. Doesn't happen too often - I'm usually sat hear listening and thinking, but this one had me singing out loud.

I saw this arrive the other day but didn't have time to listen. Then I saw the reaction it was getting, so I thought, ooo he must have hit the spot with this one...
I've been saving it up for the right moment lol (7.45 am on sunny saturday at the start of two weeks off - that'll do!)
And WOW! You've definitely hit the spot. Love it.

Reminiscent of Neil Young and certainly as good a song as just about any of his. Never did like his voice though. Yours works well with this tune and instrumentation.

Best new song in ages. Love the that low Irish pipe sound. I does not remind me of anyone but Greg Connor. 5 stars

Those acoustics are awesome...the harp....i love it! Good ole americana! I was just watching some Jackson Browne w/ David Lindley http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W1aYheuSEZI&feature=youtube_gdata_player
Reminds me of what u r throwin down.
Ok, now this really is a tongue in cheek song. But, is it just me, or... are all politicians just a waste of space or just Rich & Sad. With no Life !!!
My contribution to this year's RPM Kitchen Challenge.
Very silly.
Well, can’t you see the baby’s crawling
And pulling up all by herself
I can’t imagine what will be falling
When she climbs up on the shelf
See how much she likes to…
The decending line is about the coolest musical concept. Ear candy, and it can be Major or minor scale.Love my effects, but there's no substitution for plain old technique.
Well played John! You are right, it tickles my fancy!
Does the decending (Or downward spiral) have anything to do with the Republicans heading toward Florida next week?
Sorry . . . I couldn't help but ask.
I posted this song a few days ago and Bethan liked the music so much she wrote her own words. Here it is, a co-write across the Atlantic.
SITTING BY THE WINDOW, NOTHING TO DO
WAITING FOR THE TIME WHEN THE SUN SHINES THROUGH
THE SUN SHINES…
Yes, I like this too!
It's good solid music, with interesting lyrics. In fact, here is what I left on Bethan's site:
LOVE IT!
I was hooked when I heard:
"not much fun when your gum's all gone"
That pretty much sums it up!
I met this Indian one night in Albuquerque.
I think he put something in my coffee.

This is a live cut from an NPR radio broadcast back in 1988 while my Irish Trad group Scartaglen was on one of its first east coast tours. Found recently on a cassette tape. Musically this was one of my favorite periods in the history of the band…
I stopped back for a second listen. It's even better this time.
You have a lot going on in the song, and it's all going in the same direction.
You really know how to build a song!
My arrangement of an American traditional tune with tons of variations on title, lyrics and tune. I went for a little delta feel with some light slide on the guitar, and harmonica along with the banjo... definitely strange but I think it works.
Here's a song I recorded a couple of months ago when I had the flu ... as the voice reveals :)
Recorded early in the morning,in the bathroom, using the built-in mics on my boss br800.
Comments on Greg Connor's stuff

Makes me lonesome, and stirs my wonder lust. I see visions of Walt Whitman

Is that a mandolin in the background? Oh this is wonderful!
Such a great song Greg! Love the addition of the whistle and the flute sounding like the wind, fabulous! Lovely
Im glad to hear this music is alive and well. It reminds me of Gordon Lightfoot.
I love the minor feel...great stuff Greg...with a little electric it could remind me of early Traffic!!!!! think "40 Thousand Headmen"
Well, now that's a huge winner. I'll sign up for. This! So, real. You are a most talented man, Faved,Faved, Faved. I am listening
This is lovely x
Aw, lovely track Greg. Super stuff.
What a great song, beautiful layered "voices" and rich, clear mix. Lovely tone on all the instruments!

This fits right in with the Northern Lights this week! Fill Er Up Roger!
