I recently retired and for the past 4 months I've been telling people "All that's left are the stories". There will be no more of the glamor and prestige.

This is one of my favourite traditional tunes, for sure. This one pairs well with my last upload, A Harp in the Night. Maybe the two will become a medley... anyway, enjoy!
Trying out a new strat: not letting myself work on details on the computer until the skeleton of the song is complete. Result is a lot of variety in songwriting, but a bit rougher arrangement/mix.

Thought I'd share something from my latest project: Putting together instrumentals of public domain songs to use as intermission music for a community theater production. We got dinged for streaming copyrighted music in our previous production…
Sometimes life tends to repeat itself if you're not careful.... Good to find a moment to recognize old patterns and shake them off.
Great help on this one from the MN Coffee Table Gang - Greg Connor on guitar and vocals, and Mark Lofgren…
I found a CD with a lot of my old songs on it, many I have re - recorded and are on here. This one I had forgot about. The Good Wife does her bit on it.
Comments on Greg Connor's stuff

You old softy! This is a beautiful love song.
I like your style of playing. I play a little music with a friend who plays harp. It’s a beautiful instrument!
This is beautiful
Nice song! You mentioned it was rough, but it doesn’t sound that way. I think you’ve captured it.
Well done Tilden! The circumstances made me chuckle. Those Rosemont people will make you work for it.
I love it!
Great message! Let's see if we can live up to it.
Where … oh where is Lady Jane? I stopped by for “Just a Minute “
Slide and harmonica … my kinda song! Nice lead break at the end of the song.
Good advice! Very relaxed and solid presentation.
I'm giggling out loud. THAT WAS FUN! Great song Colleen. Thanks for including Mark and I in it.

Please don’t send her my way!
Beautiful imagery presented by your two voices. Very nice..
That's what we need . . . Human Kindness. I like the electric screw driver sound.
Reflective quality in a very stark light. “on my own” does that mean unsupervised?
