Top Of The Pops circa 1972! Remember when all those bands in the early 70's where adding synth to every song but the lyrics meant something (sometimes)? Pure excitement, pure bubblegum, pure fun. Well, this is my offering and thanks to all of…
This Lovin’ Cup- I was watching the idiot box and just holding my guitar when this little vamp on a B chord came out of nowhere. Using the same recorder, I recorded about 20 seconds of the riff. The lyrical idea came on the trip to Chicago, while…
This song started as the riff on my Strat while fooling around with some FX. I knew it needed to be a big dance number, and then realized there is a great story about the power of music and dance, which I hid in the lyrics. See if you can figure…

This one started as a the title line while driving in my car. All I had was the line and it's melody. I built the song around that about 6 months later. The lyrics are self explanatory.
A brief glimpse, but that's all. Inspired by last April. It's for everyone, but no one in particular. Yes, this one gives more than a passing nod to Ham and Evans. Thanks gents!
the keys are lush in this butty, and the chorus melody is a delight.. love those songs that make you gag for the chorus like a scaghead for smack. solos a real treat too. triumph
gary i hadnt read your profile before. i hadnt realised entirely that you were a fellow complete and total maniac. i applaud your rainbow. may we always.

It's about a few folks, some known, some known to me. I liked the chunkiness of the chord that starts it, but wanted to do something a little more 'spacey' than a pure rock number. It's all true too.
A little fun riff that came from noodling on my Epi whilst watching the idiot box one night. It's kind of written for a friend who is a little lost in a self-imposed exile from life.

Be careful. She's pretty powerful.
SHE WALKS
She walks on the leaves without making a sound
She walks like she can’t hear the dragons all around
She walks and the sun stays a pace or two behind
She walks with your secrets in the back…
Welcome to my day on the river with Karen, folks.
INTO THE LIGHT (THIS LAZY RIVER)
Take me down to the river
Throw the jackets in the hull of the boat
Let the current deliver
To the bend at the bridge where it’s harder to float
What…
Diminished Wattage - The first single from the Signals|Noise album. This song is based on an actual conversation where it was insisted that the fog in San Francisco is not real, but rather a chemical produced by the government. This actually inspired…
This is not about choosing sides, it's about being disillusioned and angry. Feels good to shout behind loud guitars. Thanks Steve Litras for the guitar solo.
All the drones march in lock step into the rally where our protagonist is swept into world of fear that only feeds his paranoia. This will make sense when the complete album released, I promise. :-)
We try to include a song about a donkey on each record. This is a factually accurate tale of Romulus, the world's tallest donkey.
lyrics
Romulus is 12 years old and 17 hands
At 5 foot 8 he’s taller than Oklahoma Sam
The world’s tallest donkey…
Pop music. Dance songs. Sub bass. Lovely ladies in Cornwall singing along. What more could you want?
lyrics
This is the least impressive dance song
You’ve heard out on the dance floor
But as you listen to it
You want MORE MORE MORE…
The last place you can go in any time zone is Howland Island.
Can’t get this out of my head
The last words that you said
Tried to make you stay
Still you went away
You think you understand
But you’re just a man
This thing is bigger…

Do I have to wake today?
will I have to go to hell?
well, the seasons in the sub are close and toasty lover
come on and try me if you will…
Very quick to write and record. Basically done from start to finish in about an hour and a half (I look at the clock).
Despite it's brevity, there's quite a lot going on (especially in how exact I've tried to be with the harmonies, and double…
Written for the RPM2017 (album in a month) challenge.
The 70s vibe should be obvious, and this was written on electric piano, (unusually for me). The opening keys riff is one of the only moderately funky sounding things I can play. I am not…
