There's an emotional edge to this beautiful voice, goes so deep, like you barely get it out sometime, balanced between singing it, and the deep emotion that comes through.

Started listening to this..... forgot where I was. Forgot I was listening to something, just, I don't know, became part of the song. Damn, this is embarrassing, but I've got tears in my eyes, just from the beauty of the music. And then, the lyrics start. Found myself feeling a little lost, as if I came back somewhere else, or just changed a little, when the end came. To long? Not a chance. I could listen to this forever.

Hello, The out lying islands is a jest on my part, I live in Florida , which at times seems as so. Marooned is a base backing track knock off from pink floyd. I added some keys and bass stuff and lead guitar stuff. And thanks for kind words on my tunes. Dark waters rocks, good work.

I am completely with you on the "I have to get out of bed RIGHT NOW and capture this" thing, ha! Have to say, if that's how you usually create, then it's working. Great song-writing, wonderfully pro performances from all musicians, and I love your voice! I'm not usually a fan of longer tracks, but you kind of take me along with you, and I want to keep listening. Liking your Indiana Jones avatar also...but that's not important. :-)

PS - Gorgeous Santana vibe! This wouldn't be out of place on his Supernatural album. Very cool song-writing.

Thanks all, for the comments. You would be amused at the "instruments" I used for this. In keeping with the theme I mentioned, though not intentional. didgeridoo, I wanted the sound, went out back grabbed a piece of ABS (Black Plastic Pipe) made the didge, (saw some made that way a didgeridoo festival), needed that strange raspy creature sound, took a piece of PVC pipe (same one I used for the Guiro on Mid Summers Night) and used a rounded stick to rub it, getting the raspy sorta heatbug effect. Found art? No, yes, found music!

I love it when someone writes about the real in life. This is it. The kind of song that carries through life's changes. Music and the voice married perfectly.
