Just an experiment from a while back using multiple delay units. I hated it initially, but after not hearing it for a few months I decided there were enough interesting moments to warrant sharing.

Sitting around in my shop a couple of days ago with the Goodall and the Zoom H4N. First time I've really messed with using the internal mics on the H4N in multitrack mode
Quick recording of a new set of pipes I'm working on. Long winded explanation- prior to the late 19nth century most Irish pipes featured very small bores and finger holes and were pitched well below modern concert pitch. I've always loved them…
This track is from the 1986 Scartaglen album "The Middle Path". The first tune "Jezaig" was composed by Breton musician Gilles Le Bigot. The second tune is one of the "Cantigas de Santa Maria" and is attributed to King Alfonso X of Spain

This is a live cut from an NPR radio broadcast back in 1988 while my Irish Trad group Scartaglen was on one of its first east coast tours. Found recently on a cassette tape. Musically this was one of my favorite periods in the history of the band…
Just got in the office doing some filing so any excuse to have a listen! Oh, by the way, Mum met an Irish guy in Wales and they started talking, anyway he knew that song I asked you about and sang it to her.I thought his proposal of marriage was a bit rash but .... hey! Cheers Bee

Something completely different- Uilleann pipes(Irish bagpipes) and synth. I wrote this tune over 20 years ago in the style of traditional Irish slow airs. It was recorded way back in 1991 for an album that's been out of print for over 15 years…

I found a cassette tape the other day from 1991 which turned out to be live to 2 track demos that Scartaglen did in the studio in preparation for our 3rd and (as it turned out) final album. This tune didn't make the cut for the record but I always…

New stuff has been slow in coming for me lately, but I found this lurking on my hard drive from a while back. Frankly don't remember how I did it except that it was all live to 2 tracks and at one point one of my synth patches glitched out on…
This is quite a groovy, psychedelic number. It's the kind of recording that, if she were a woman I'd just met on the street, I'd encourage her to come home with me. But she is a bit short. Perhaps you can expand on this track someday -- alert me if you do.
Solo acoustic finger picking thing I've been working on for a while. Sometime around 1968 I started studying with Mr. George Bennett who taught me the rudiments of finger picking. Later when we played some gigs together he also taught me the rudiments…

Playing around with loops a bit more. I like it, although I feel that perhaps its a bit cluttered at time? Please let me know what you think.
To answer some of the questions I got on the last track:
The looper I use is a Digitech DL-8 Hardwire…
One day my husband was describing someone as a floosie galore. First I cracked up; then I wrote this song. Do you think I have to share royalties with him? :) I recorded all the vocal parts on this several years ago at Boyd Recording Studio…
I wrote a song called "Know" on the other Album.
A Guy in the States who goes by the name of HOOPER covered it as part of the "Tribute Fest" on Songcrafters .Org .
I was Utterly Blown away and Humbled by what he did for the song...
The Guy…
613 is a prime number, 136 is triangular, and 361 is a square number - I didn't know what to name it ( but I wrote a math book once called Mathematical Bliss). Anyone want to put some metal vocals on this?
Recording some match lighting samples recently and felt compelled to put some music to it.
I put the mic up to some raw acoustic guitar. Bass and lead added with FX. Norm added percussion, making it sound waaaay better.

Deadlines, freeways, appointments, things to do lists, expectations, getting older, not enough hours in the day to get everything done? ..... make each day and moment count! Thanks to Dave Matthews for a lick I threw in there. Enjoy!
Kind of a Sonic Youth version of the old folk tune. This was with my band Lincoln The Chain. Our vision was to create new and weird versions of tunes from the old timey days. Traveling music for post apocalyptic underground railroad...
She said sing for me a song
‘bout a world where we all get along
and she said play for me a tune
that makes me happy and wont you please play it soon
and she said dance but not too fast
take it slow, you never know if this dance will be your…
A tune I made on my first attempt on my wife's Magix Music Maker software. She was impressed about how quickly I picked it up! A slightly revised second edition and it is ready for publication. Caution - contains all Magix loops.
