Maybe I missed a career scoring for no budget spaghetti westerns, because this is what this reminds me of. Done live a couple weeks ago with the Taylor and a floor full of toys and loopers.
Now this is nice.....real nice.......nice it too "nice" a word for this wonderful sound you have conjured here.....mega-nice. Most looper jams leave me cold, but this is real good, just the way I like it.
More ambient experimentation with my fretless guitar and Roland GR20. This time I used some sounds from the magnetic pickups as well as the midi pickup. Kind of a cheesy synth patch I know, but it was working for me!
Solo acoustic finger picking thing I've been working on for a while. Sometime around 1968 I started studying with Mr. George Bennett who taught me the rudiments of finger picking. Later when we played some gigs together he also taught me the rudiments…
I just realized I misread who was playing. I thought this was Kavin but realized this is an assortment of artists. Kirk apologies and as I said but indicated Kavin, but now for you, Gorgeous and Bachlike.
A bit of improv done yesterday with my newly refurbished fretless guitar. Finally got the midi pickup to track almost right! Part of the sounds were gotten by rubbing a teaspoon on the strings.

Another Live performance with former band mates in Scartaglen back in 1988 on the NPR show Mountain Stage. This time a piece of Gaelic mouth music followed by 3 reels. Maybe the most complex arrangement of a set of tunes that we ever did.
Another cut from the 1988 cassette tape of a live performance by Scartaglen on the NPR show Mountain stage. This time some tunes from County Kerry.
Kirk Lynch- Uilleann pipes and whistle. Becky Pringle- Fiddle. Mike Dugger- Fiddle and guitar…

What happened after too much time on youtube watching live vids of "voodoo chile" Noisy obnoxious and very cathartic for me! Live to 2tracks with the Jamman
I love your skill sets we enjoy the same feel. I noticed that you are listening to some of my Christmas stuff thank you I wish we could colab. it would be great.

http://www.jango.com/music/Rox Hi guys, just a little shameless self promotion. we've changed our name to Rox. We're on jango.com being played live (based on large numbers of hits) We can continue being played for free if we continue getting…
Part of a sound walk that takes place through the Station North district of Baltimore. This piece is the last segment of the walk.
Live 8, Logic, field recordings, clay flute, and samples from Tennyson's "Bugle Song".
We wanted to accompany our new track with...for lack of a better term, a b-side...so while working on this bridge piece for two other songs, we thought we'd slip it in here.
rough demo...still mixing...

This is a first run at MIDI drumming. I have my kit setup to a new Alesis Trigger I/O box. It turns my drum kit in to a USB MIDI drum kit. Pretty cool toy.
Most of the kits I have in the software are dry to record. Obviously, the sound will…
4 stereo guitar tracks played out one at a time.
Another late night - early morning recording.
I like to keep a positive attitude about the things that haunt me, but sometimes dreams change course unexpectedly, and the worms creep in.

Oh yeah, thats an improv all right. I feel all weird from listening, like time is going backwards or something. Spooky sounding almost.
Lovely. Thanks so much.
Magic!

Those two are impossible not to like!
Loved it. I like overall spontaneous and improvised, live feeling of your music.

Need to add that cheese to a cheese sammich. Cool stuff Kirk. Some interesting sounds you are pulling out of that instrument. Me like.
Works for me too, beautiful depth of sound.
Love this new sonic direction you've taken. Keep on!
