Several years ago I had a short lived duo with an oboe and English horn player named Nat. This is a demo from that period. It's an old old chord progression of mine that never really had a melody and Nat improvised this melody in the studio to…

From the archives. Traditional Irish slow air. Myself on the Uilleann pipes with synth backing. This was recorded at a concert here in Weston back in I think '92. Originally recorded on an ancient 4 track machine and then transferred to cassette…

BEAUTIFUL, man.
Thanks for checking Twilight Jewel out; I've just realized how tongue-in-cheek the synth piper at its beginning must seem to a real piper.

Well, song 10 finally. A bit on the heavy side, some odd FX, strange vox, an Ibanez, The ever present harmonica, and some help from Illegal Alien Autopsy.
This was the first song I tracked for RPM. But, since my pen has run out of ink this month…
I get to say that it borders on hip-hop because there’s a hip hop drum loop and a hip hop drum kit on it. I have no idea what to call it other than “electronic”. With a piano.
This is my second song using Record.
I was going through a book on…
An odd tune - took time to grow on me but I like it. Still a little sick, hence the froglike vocals and negligent production.
A song about the Rock of Gibraltar
All done on the Boss Micro BR
Long Goodbyes
You say your life is disgusting…
A little something I recorded on a Zoom H4n, acoustic was recorded from built in condensors, strat was recorded plugged into bottom jack using only onboard effects, mixed in Reaper and mastered in Soundforge.
Sounds great! The H4N is a great little machine. Really like the sound you got on the acoustic.Haven't really messed with the internal effects yet- I'm gonna have to do that.
Old Paint Ver.II
Continued from Old Paint Version I............
So, I plugged in the cat eater, hit distort and it took on a whole new feel.
I added bass(finger is tore up now), more drums, and low level fuzzed up leads.
The ghost…
Where's all this sappy music coming from? The Olympics were on. I must have been watching too much figure skating or something.
Unmastered track from my 2010 RPM Challenge submission.
Who hasn’t fallen victim to thinking that a piece of “kit” is going to make all the difference in the world? Don’t fall for it people.

Production notes: Oh yeah, I totally left in a bunch of plosives (PUH-PUH-Plosive) all over the place…
If the synth intro doesn't do anything for you, just wait about two minutes for the main part of the song to start.

Just lovely!
Reminds me of my old clarinet days. I adore the woodwinds. What else you got stashed away for us?
Wind voices, yes, it does remind me of windchimes. Very melancholy and lilting, love it.
