It is such a treat to have live music like this posted here. You guys are awesome and saving me a fortune by avoiding the trip to Brooklyn to see what's up. Many thanks!

Would love to go to England again :) Already played there: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lavoWntgmQI Once I set up my home recording studio, I would love to record some tracks for you, if you wish :)
Hook sent me two mix's and i couldn't decide which sounded better so i thought i'd put both up and let you decide....this one has a bit of age to it and i love how the Banjo and the Piano work together....let me know what you decide.....thanks…
Now that I listen more, I hear that the track positioning in stereo didn't change, but feels much different because of whatever you've done. I feel like the voice is closer to the piano in the spectrum. They combine well together and so you get more "booming" on the right side and the banjo is set off on the left. I wonder how the balance would feel if the voice was more present on the left...?

It feels like the instruments are now positioned differently in this mix and the banjo is not as present (which I think is good), so you get the rhythmic sensation without interfering with voice and piano, with which in this take, the banjo seems to have more separation.

Classic Jazz ballad we recorded 2 years ago with my former jazz quartet. Enjoy and check out my page on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/Boris.Shpitalnik
I do three things after waking up these days: I shower. I make coffee. I play this song and drink my coffee.
Nothing complicated. Nothing fancy. Just some basic fingerpicking to test my motor skills and bring some aural sunshine into my day.
ok, volume is fixed, and the title too. Maybe soon I will mix it better or perhaps just move on to better things. Thanks to those who gave excellent advice on previous version.
and the #2 version has been deleted (actually this is #2).
Well, this is a tough one: It's an ironic song about a hot potato, but the way it's sung, the listener thinks it's about a beautiful woman until the very end. I'll post translations some day...

I like this mix better. It's more present and the reverb feels right... I wonder what was done differently..
This could use some... clarinet.. :)
I'll consider it...
pretty cool groove
slamming
Cool. Enjoy!

good question... why aren't I famous?! I guess fame and skill are not always correlated ;)
oh good :)
Good concept. I like it when the groove starts.
if I had my morning coffee somewhere in the mid-West or in a country town where the trucks don't make sooo much noise... that would be nice :)
I can move to this beat :))
Oh, it's a clarinet :))
