I’m fascinated with what you did with the background percussion here. Shifted??
Nice improvs. Hope you come back soon.
Very interesting sounds! Nice!
Those are beautiful Chords! Ever listen to Underworld or Vangellis?
Nice Soundscape! Very cool!
most excellent sir!! most excellent!
Not bad mate, like it.
nice bass line to start with, everything fits tightly well.
Interesting choice for the last piece… a bit of a wake up following the chill out of the previous songs. Dig the drums. Another top track.
I agree with Kirk regarding note choices. Quite jazzy. Well done!
More groovy bass! These pieces go very well together, a very nice EP you’ve put together here.
A nice moody piece.
Good stuff. Dig that bass.
I dig this.
I like it - very gentle.
huh, we might be related. J/K but your sound is kin to me.
geez, that one guest comment makes me some upset, nah, probably just some crab armed masturbator who listens to britney spears, for nuance. well, I really liked this song, if I may make a suggestion, put improv in the description and give it a creative title instead. oh yah, and f’ the naysayers with a wacky noodle.
Nice! Enjoyed that!
interesting ! What is your set up? It sounds as if you were recorded in a hall.
nice feel, spontaneity.
Great! Get a delay, reverb, and loop pedal, and begin some guitar noodle work… These are not songs, not even close, so personally I would make some self assessment, if I was you.
Reminiscent of Neil Young’s Dead Man soundtrack. Keep up the great sounds Max.
Doing some very cool things here Max! You should check this out:
Nice improv! Especially liked this part
I especially like parts I and II - nice work!!
It was a little slow getting started, but I like what you built it up to.
Good luck with the LP! I’m certain it will be fantastic… please keep us updated!
wonderful!! So this is in part classical guitar? If so great tone!
Nice impressionistic piece there!
Good to see that you are back in the saddle! This is very nice. Very nice.
pretty cool. i like the overall aura of the piece. beautifully done!
I like your stuff. A lot.
What’s your setup?
oh man. i love this tune. john downland is a champ, and this is a great rendition.
thanks guys :) @jarvis, I agree.. I think I may have waited a bit long with the alternate theme.
Although, I believe that the constant variation in the harmony and rhythm can justify the lack of variation in the theme, because the interest of the listener would be held by the variation in the harmony and rhythm. Much like Reich’s Music for 18 musicians.
i like your guitar sound.
i enjoy your work sir. very much so.
very nice track, however, im not sure about its length. It started getting a bit stale around the 3 minute mark.
I think the voices other than the main one should be a bit more visible, that way you would be much more able to control the dynamics and counterpoint of the melody.
Overall however, I very much enjoyed it :)
really awesome track. thoroughly enjoyed the vocal part.
great voice. amazing :) i hope you upload more soon :)
love it. from the first to the last note :)
beautiful work kirk.
i liked it. good job :)
very tasteful tune. i like it.
good stuff kirk. just what i needed tonight.
im loving the tone on your guitar.
by all week, i just realized, i mean all of last week. and this week so far :P seeing as its only tuesday.
very nice. love it.
ive been listening to glass’ piano work almost non stop all week.
@synaptic disturbance - it was a volume pedal in the beginning, but later in the tune i believe i used a reverse delay.
kirk, it wasnt even a looper :D it was a delay pedal :D
thanks for all of your comments J.S. I’m glad you enjoy my music :)
thank you J.S. :)
excellent tune :)
very fine playing! i like it a lot
I like it! There is something in the vocal melody and the way in which it fits with the guitars that makes me get the butterflies in my stomach.
your voice is amazingly clear on this one. Its almost mesmerizing!
I love it. The lyrics are fun, and all of the parts work very well together :)
Kind of reminds me of some stuff Weezer did as well as a bunch of other stuff.
It reminds me a lot of early Pat Metheny stuff.. but not entirely.. Either way - I love it.
I agree with what sandbags said before me. Its quite awesome :)
