Your "studio floor" as you call it must be one nice-sounding place. I hope you come back to this to flush it out further... It would be so easy to sing to this (and I hope you do at some point).
Sorry for the multiplicity. In the future, I should probably refrain from uploading until I have something more of a finished product. I doubt I'm finished with this... but it is, indeed, something more.
I've been meaning to come over and have a listen to some of your stuff, and this is just outstanding! What are you playing and how are you recording it, because the tone is just amazing.
Thanks! Hardly back at all! I gave up for a long while; figured "what's the point?". Recently I figured "what's the point of not?"... so, I'm trying to come back :)

13 minutes! Fail! I recommend you augment your self a bit (with a glass or three of red wine or whatever floats your boat) and dim the lights, lay on the floor with your eyes closed where you can feel the bass rumble and get ready to be my passenger…
This track was created as part of the October 2010 Alonetone 24 hr challenge. The challenge is to make 24 minutes of original music in one 24 hour period.
he's not blown away like a stray star
he's not stolen clean away by a fast car
but…
completely f()ckblasted. It might be the wine, but there was some epic dissonance going on there for a minute... was affecting me... which, considering it is the 'piece de resentemente', really works.
drip by drip..
I did the guitar and bass tracks first, then procured my 10 year olds cello for the main bass line :) I also tried my luck playing cello with a bow on this track- which was a new experience.
The trumpet and violin bits are played…
Not to start a George tribute, but here's a cover I did with Facemask93 that I really love. All I did was bass, backing vox and the drum pattern arrangement - I did feel a little like a dope trying to sing along with Rob's amazing voice, but will…
Awesome! I've been pouring over albums on Itunes for a week looking for something new to blow my money on... I've yet to find anything. This is far better than any of the crap on there.
Don't go to the streets
Where they put you to the ground
Where they put you to the wall
And they steal your broken heart
Don't go to the streets
Where they say that it's ok
Where they've seen it all before
And they put you to the wall
The hand…
One for my electronic friends. It's just a bunch of patches mixed with MIDI and glued together with 1 part water, 2 parts flour, and 2 parts ectoplasma.
Enjoy!
Tom Waits has so many great songs. This one's from his stellar album "Mule Variations". We all need something to believe in...and chocolate is so easy to love.
