I noted that Greg Conner, whose opinion I've come to trust, had commented on this song, so I came by for a listen. You've won a new fan -- I'll be following you hear-after. This is a gorgeous song -- the strumming, the picking, the vocals, the lyrics, the mix down/mastering job -- it's all beautiful! Great job -- Rock on!
The coveting of mystery is not what it used to be.
So silent, we sway as if there was nothing wrong.
So I keep away from me as you get the best of me.
This violent reaction brings longing and painful new poison.
This humbling history is…
We are stolen in both bedlam and peace.
Our riddance is good for queen and country.
Take these pieces and break them into threes.
You slip right out of your self,

This is a Phil Keaggy tune. I swiped his original loop and then built my own thing on top of it. Might have been longer, but my volume swell effect keeps slipping out of sync with everything else. May work on it more at a later date
Got the basic idea for this from Keith Wyatt's Guitar World column (Talkin' Blues, Feb 2014) in which he discusses some of guitarist Grady Martin's work.
A collaboration with buddies of mine from songcrafters.org Just dug it out again today and thought I'd share it.
