Keyboards (bagpipes) performed by Starry Nightmoth. Lead guitar by George Harrison. Vocals and all other instruments performed by Gene Eric Mann. Thunder and rain by Mother Nature. Lyrics by John Lennon.
One of my personal favorite recordings from the 52 song MYTHOPOETICA demo collection, even though there’s a sound quality issue (the bass had a bit of a buzz). This was my first time using a wammy bar – I liked it!

APATHY AND GREED
Apathy and greed is in the human seed
"I need more, to Hell with you" we say so well
How we live and play to get us through the day
Til we hear the bell that summons…

Trippy...but weirdly affecting. I found that circular blend of sound very moving. Tried to explain it to my 8 year old, but she didn't get it. I love music; sometimes it's just about the feeling - and that you can't explain.

I never meant to be insulting or belittling...your music is certainly more deserving than such a review. You have great things going for you, and I support you in every way.

Hey, thanks for the nice comment on the remix. It didn't turn out exactly as I imagined but that's the way it goes sometimes. I love doing that kind of work, let me know if you have another track you would like me to work on just for the hell of it. Chris

Political Folk song, predicting a grim tomorrow, scribed in an esoteric fashion.
(Coming into) WINTER TIME
Days are getting shorter; days are growing colder
Coming into winter time
Seasons changing faster for the demon master

Political Folk. About the sexual hangups and illnesses of our culture because we don’t know how to talk to each other and our kids about sex and agree on what’s right or wrong and where the lines should be drawn.

Lyrically one of my favorites, and actually one of my fave recordings despite the obvious sound quality issues that plagued my early recordings. I think it’s one of my better-composed Psychedelic Folk tunes.

Hope you enjoy the trip. The bass line kept my fingers busy on this more aggressive Psychedelic Folk tune. The poem is actually three crammed into one, all about the same dream.

As a warm up for the RPM Challenge I have gotten into the habit of digging up old mostly forgotten songs from my carefree youth and recording new demos. This year seems to be mostly focused on a band I played in between 1997 and 2000. This song…
Within the first 15 seconds I was sold. GREAT RIFT! I dig the lyrics and the vocals, the drums, the bass -- "it's almost like magic!" ;) Yep, all good! Sweet lead guitar workout at the break too.
Happy Sunday Alonetoner's.
I wrote this song yesterday as I had some recent events to ponder.... I hope you like it. Trying for a bit of a bluesy feel. If you'd like to download it and add some background blues bass or guitar, or harmonies…
Intriguing. Your description reminds mr of Mother Earth. Seen from Luna, she's beautiful -- white clouds, green continents, blue seas. But zoom in and, ugh, she's infested with a deadly cancer. But, no, there's nothing that "not right" about this mix down. I dig it.
An intriguing conversation between you and your guitar. I liked what everyone had to say although no particular issues were resolved! ;) You have a sweet relationship with a sweet sounbding guitar, grand-sounding strings, and an acoustically warm room -- nice natural reverb effect. Great job!
Of out tonight for a drink with a few friends but not til 9 so i thought i'd try to write a song and i think i have . i think i'll revisit it later to re-do but for now it will have to do. Hope you enjoy!! A heart-breaker for a Friday night…
The lyrics speak to me. The vocal delivery got me in the guts. The strumming was delicate yet powerful. This number is full of emotion – it really reaches. I suggest you leave it as it is, a musical photograph of your bruises and wounds at the time. Anything added or edited after this would be Photoshopping (or, what I like to call "Photo-chopping").
this is a song about dr pretorious from the movie - the bride of frankenstein.
from the time he met the monster onwards. it's basically a straight up metal song or perhaps better
called - horror metal!.it runs about 9:30 mins. if you like metal…
I *REALLY* dug this! I wrote a song from the perspective of the monster -- you might be interested in taking a listen to it. But it's not Metal, so you may not care for it. While I am into a wiiiiide variety of genres, I realize most people don't, but here's the link, just in case:

Jeff's version
FLORENCIA
The tide is going out in Avila
I can feel it in my blood
Here I am in South Beach Florida
Just like you knew I would
There's a place in California
Where the coast is always clear
You said you'd be in…
Kind of a Glen Campbell-era classy country sound and vibe. I think I like this version best, so far... who knows who might come along to do version of this version of that version of I'm confused already! ;)
THE GIFT - key C
An architect in Bakersfield gave him a gift of wine
Napa Valley, California, famous for the vine
When the grape is coupled with the peach, the promise is divine
But he would never pull the cork as he alone would dine…
It's so dark
she can't sleep
She needs more
ice in her water
She lost her smile
It went to Nashville
So she sent
me her address
I didn't know
if I should answer
or go to her
I could call a taxi
Too much wine
Too much coffee
Too…
Now these are some interesting lyrics. The music is rather dark and sad in its delivery. It's a good mixing/mastering job -- chilling! I like it, but I sense the pain.

Interesting song lyrics.
Nice guitar and atmosphere on thisun.
Very cool song, love the feel...Great job!
Nice Johnny Cash feel! Love it! Keep up the good tunes! Thx for the kind words :-)
Slinky and very cool. Loving your late night gravelly vox...
Oosh! A touch of Elvis Costello in your tone here? Very cool.
Fabulous premise - and a wonderful collaboration, guys.

Excellent!
Suzy Creamcheese alive and well in 2015? I just had some sort of weird flashback to a college FM station around 3 a.m.

Very catchy my brother. Nice.

Wonderful!! You guys, like, wow. Y'all got great taste!
How did I neglect to favorite this one before now?!
Good stuff! Classy.
Rock on, man!
Short -- very short -- but sweet -- very sweet.

Really, truly gorgeous stuff, well thought out -- ingenious, and the mastering is superb!
I agree with what Andrew Russe -- this one doesn't need anything else!
I appreciate the work you put into this groove -- gonna play it again!
Oooooohhh I like this. Colorful tones and a tasty vibe! You're a rift master! ROCK ON!

Bittersweet. Dark, painful, but beautiful. Very well recorded -- mixed and mustered with great care and taste.
I like this one! The arrangement of chords, the strumming technique, and the lyrics, the energy of the vocals -- it all works for me!
Some interesting piano playing -- I enjoy the chords and melody, but the execution and delivery is particularly talented. Marvelous!
