@Bee: I believe that you are referring to the first 3 off-beats of the measure, which are played on a wood-block heavily distorted with "gated reverb"... but I've never heard a chicken that sounds like that! :)

I'm not so sure the tunes selected by Ramen music necessarily reflect the popular vote as demonstrated by Alonetone "most favorited", etc. And it is a thankless job, inherently biased, to make selections for Ramen Music. I don't envy the position of the editors. Alas, that was historically one of the problems that lead to the demise of other record labels... In any case, don't let it work on your head. You have a sizeable fan base and we LOVE what you are producing. Now, return to your studio and get back to work: we are hungry for more!

I'm happy to steal a pumpkin for you any time. My patterns are alot like pumpkins: you don't have to ask - just grab one and run. Brilliant! I'm usually asked to leave Sam Ashe after a couple hours of playing on all of their cool percussion toys. Surprisingly, some folks don't have an appreciation for extended drum solos... and some might even be inclined to give you a nasty look if you just laugh when they ask you to stop. Note to self: save the gong trials for the last.
