On 10/27/2014 I uploaded this re-mastered version, dropping the first half of the vocals by 3dbs.

Justin, The drum on STEPPIN' ON SOME TOES is just poking the bass drum and the snare drum keys on my midi keyboard. Then I quantize it to the 1/16, because I'm lousy at playing on the beat, add some reverb to it and then pull the volume down until it sounds like it's way back there somewhere.

Some of them want to abuse you

Lyrics and music by Hank Williams Sr., but my cover is in Dm/D, with guitar and bass tuned to Drop D.

LOCOMOTIVE BREATH
In the shuffling madness
Of the locomotive breath
Runs the all time loser
Headlong to his death
Oh, he feels the piston scraping
Steam breaking on his brow
Old Charlie stole the handle
And the train, it won't stop going…

Oh my how gorgeous, with a hint Floyd-like Psychedelic flavoring -- delicious. A damn fine mix down/mastering job. Cool lyrics and vocals, nice picking. I really, really, really love this! ROCK ON!
Original track with a little bit of everything. Pop R&B vocals over Piano and Bass finishing with the craziest beat to date. Headphone only add to it!!! Enjoy.
this was originally a song about breaking through paradigms but turned into a song about a girl.
Keys and string samples from Korg, MIDI with the old Ensoniq,
one diving board.
Thanks for the listen ,enjoy... RW
Wow. This one is really together. You did everything right -- lyrics, vocals, instruments, mix down/mastering, diving board sound effect. Brilliant, beautiful.

Thanks to Robert Palomo for giving this a little sound engineering. Robert said " I mixed thru my mastering plugin (Ozone 5).

I, like you, use to do electric guitar in my HS years, but also migrated to acoustic. Is that progress? I think so -- this song here would be much less effective if juiced up with distortion and wah wah and the other toys of our youth. This song is hard core as it is, and needs no electricity to get its message across.
Now that my album Texas Tonefreak is almost "out of print", I'll be posting the tracks up here.

This work was recorded at counter)induction's 'a little night music' concert, 22 Jan 22 2007 at Christ St. Stephen's Church in New York.
The composer Stratis Minakakis describes his work thus: "In Aristophanes' 'Birds, Night is described as…
The music was written in a hotel room in Niagara Falls, Ontario. When I first recorded the rhythm guitars it hit me how 80's corporate rock this was. It sounded like Journey and that pissed me off. When it came time to write the lyrics that…
The music was written in a hotel room in Montreal (I think) and the lyrics are about how stupid the Market Basket situation got in New England (ironically, as I was recording the last vocal line a friend sent me a link to a stream of Artie T's…
I actually followed the Market Basket story, for some reason (I'm living in Georgia). Interesting choice to jam about. You drove the point home. In the end, with the fired CEO buying the company, and all that protesting a waste of time when the rich guy handled it himself... what a laugh. Anyway, good music -- Rock on!

You did a little Marlin Manson like cover. Nice arrangement.
You got the touch. You & gene both.
Always loved this song. The strange buzz is perhaps gonzo attempting to amply the doctor.
How much fun it must be to recreate this old chestnut. What a time that was!
This is groovy.
Such a cool texture.
Old Hank! just a head! LOVE IT!!!!!
Nice rendition of an awesome song!

Dig this a lot - again very earthy, organic quality in what you do.

Fabulous! And indeed, great tones!
An all around great compilation of sounds, strung together quite nicely. The mix down/mastering is particularly superb.

I dig the Classic Rock sound and got a kick out of the lyrics, and the vocals were fun.
DIG THE BEAT AND BUSY BASS LINE! Good vocals. Nice mix down/mastering work.
Well alrighty then!
Oh hell yeah!
An interesting composition. Digging that loose bass string. Nice scale.
Juicy guitar work -- good stuff! The vocalist, very talented. Y'all ROCK! Rock on!
That's some fab talent -- great job!
I enjoyed it -- looking forward to hearing the end results.
YES! Great job! A really groovy, fascinating piece. Rock on!
Dark, bitter, sharp, but also captivating and entertaining. A brilliant stitching together of sounds. Thank you for posting this!
Intriguing! A very entertaining composition. A lot of talent revealed in this, and the entire piece is quite imaginative. Rock on!
I sure dig the way you handle the six string!
