It seems a lot of you record with open mics and can relate. I record 1 track at a time with usually 4 or 5 tracks. So, Im only asking for about 15 minutes of Silence...IS THIS TOO MUCH TO ASK??? Anyway, my house is so loud, I get a lot of bloopers…
drip by drip..
I did the guitar and bass tracks first, then procured my 10 year olds cello for the main bass line :) I also tried my luck playing cello with a bow on this track- which was a new experience.
The trumpet and violin bits are played…
This is a recording of Norm and me playing together a few months ago. I didnt have any percussion instruments so Norm was on a Roland electric trap set and I had a cello. I looped some of the stuff we did that night, and retrofitted the rest…
I have issues at my house, sometimes they manifest themselves in my tracks. In this case, the bassoon and oboe represent the mouse. The guitar is the peanut-butter.

You never would have caught me playing this genre a few years ago. WHat the hell happened ??
All the instruments were recorded with an open mic at my house. Which, as you know is always a chaotic place to record :) If you listen hard enough…

I have a dog named Daisy, lol along with 3 others. haha sounds like me calling my dog. little lhasa apso. and I'm moving out soon so she will be over the hill and far away.

Daisy and I both know that as soon as you get far enough away from the perimeter, the pain inflicted by the shock collar ceases, and is only a bad memory. A small price to pay for the freedom to run over the hills all night with the other freed pups.
We don't care if you hollar.

Good dog. Bad Dog. It's all the same. Poor Daisy. Sometimes when the opportunity presents itself, you just have to run far away, through out the night.
Great vox on this one and the change of perspective -from the narrator's to Daisy's- is very clever. But the double entendre that this piece drips with is the part I like the very best.

This is was originally for piano and is a fair assessment of my piano playing abilities in 1977 and was written in that year.
The original piano version can be had here

or listen to it…
Is that live guitar or keys>? yet another good example of the cool variety of music you create, this almost sound like it could be a prelude to something bigger...
I found this poem I wrote back before she left. I put music to it and recorded it night before last.
Yeah, the high voice is me too.

Thanks guys for the listen and comments !
Richard, that sound like a great idea.
If AT was a Tavern, I'd buy a round for everyone !
What better than a community of musicians to drink with
Two-part tune. The first part is "Untitled," and the second part (based on the last bit of "Untitled") is "Sugar." We went for the slow version for the record. We also play "Punk Sugar" and have messed around with "Country Sugar" and "Reggae…
This is from years ago, living in santa fe.
I loved driving around in my little 1980s toyota corolla and listening to cassettes. I loved the way they sounded.
So I took a piano song I was working on, recorded it to cassette, dragged mic…
Wow...I almost like it better as recorded in your car with the other sounds ect...but this is so good, really needs to be recaptured in a better recording. really enjoying the changes at 6:50 too ! - and 8:25
still one of my personal faves. - although i'd wish to redo some parts, i'm stuck with this version, since i don't own one of the synths used there anymore..

Thanks Vais, I DL'ed yesterday and have been messin with it. I tried adding a few things today but never got to a point that I thought it was an improvement. Pretty full - if anything, I think my additions distracted from it -

I believe there's a demo version of this tune that I've already uploaded to alonetone. Originally written as a piano piece.
I had some lyrics describing a late nite cake baking experience kicking around. If I have a lot on my mind, dirtying every dish in the house seems like the right thing to do.
I stole some cool percussion from Norm and went to work. I also…
This is one stereo track of 6 conga drums tuned, by ear, to roughly a chromatic scale (I don't know which one - perhaps I've gone micro-tonal!) coupled with a single track of ad-lib quinto (the high drum) and a "shuffle" groove on trap-set…

Very full sound considering the minimal amount of instruments. I like.
I love this, what a great sound. You are making me want to go out and get a banjo!!!!!! Sounds real good.

Nice job Bruce! I'm still in Morocco getting your music out to the world!!!!!!
I like the groove you two get going on this.

fun story line,,, great musical/story,, drifting, as you say "over the hill and far away" the music itself seems to match the story so perfectly...
There's not a lot happening, just enough to make it extra cool. Dark sunglasses and a smoke cool.

cool, and unique song. the backing vocals bring it all together too
Cool acoustic song. I like the lyrics and the mended closure too. (makes me think about oil at the moment though)
Beautiful moonlight. Enters only though the window and not the door
