~C'est magnifique, mais ce n'est pas la guerre~
In fact, russians thought that the British cavalry were drunk (and think so still), which slightly improved the reputation of the British cavalry for the rest of the war.
Something I've been listening to this morning on repeat so I thought I would record and share it.
At heart it's two instances of the Morpheus metallophone instrument layered together with some nice verb and a bit of compression.

Space Trumpet was an excuse to try out my new plugin "Little Spacey" from Expert Sleepers and also to exercise the Kore sounds from Acoustic Refractions.
MIDI was supplied via IAC from Reaktor using Lazyfish's Spiral sequencer. The project…
Another one from my ambient crackpot series.
This features two instances of my new instrument the Novaphone 340 Imperial. A grand name for a grand instrument (Xylo just didn't do it justice).

Yeah, I can see why MTC felt the cops were after him. It does sound like that in places. I like the footsteps, that's an interesting addition.

From the startling first note I imagined this accompanying a video of old, sunken shipwrecks
covered in anenomes with sharks weaving in and out!
That's because I have just been looking at some stunning photos of such. Perfect for it!

I would have added: as a result of sound pierced through and through, and go somewhere further on. I turned it on full blast in the studio and seems distant neighbors nervous. I hope they were worried about the meaning of life, as I do now. Here it is - The Result, Matt.

Having fun (finally) playing around with the riff for this tune by Howling Wolf, which is based on a song by Charley Patton and another by the Mississippi Sheiks and another by Tommy Johnson and so on ...
Had to listen to this twice. Amazing juxtaposition in the intro transforming into something cohesive before brutally ripping itself apart at the end. Powerful and somewhat unsettling!
Wow this is lovely Bruce. I'd really love to get a look at your Max setup and see how you work. Maybe you could do a "producer masterclass" video one day?
Indecision is not always bad, sometimes it even leads to the determination. Or leads to the solution. Or does not lead anywhere (also a kind of solution).

Numbers stations (or number stations) are shortwave radio stations of uncertain origin. They generally broadcast artificially generated voices reading streams of numbers, words, letters (sometimes using a spelling alphabet), tunes or Morse code…
I've used recordings of numbers stations in my own music. I think I'm attracted by the way the content is apparently random and yet deliberate. Some nice menace and dark overtones in this piece, very enjoyable.
This track was my attempted submission for Ramen Music #001. I finally got around to uploading it here.

Recorded in 2009 for the RPM Challenge.
Joe Silence - flying slide guitars, tweaked beatbox, spastic echo torture and toy keyboard mutilation
This was recorded to cassette 4-track and then dumped to DAW for clean-up and mixing.
Despite the fact that boring scientists have proved that did not catch a rainbow, I still believe that it is possible at least to touch its iridescent tail, and then...

This is an older song and hey, you'll finally get to hear me sing badly! This was under my old name Piscean Dream so I couple of you may or may not have heard this before. Thanks for listening!
I am leaving this week for a while but couldnt resist adding as the third collaborator on this excellent track by Keith Landry and Osckilo before I go.
Added some bass, ambient stings, and of course sleigh bell
Hope you guys like it.
See you…

~ Was there a man dismay'd? Not tho' the soldier knew Some one had blunder'd ~
Listened many times. Still haven't thought of anything to say. So I'll just leave it at: Kilroy was here.
I see icicles with the ends dripping. All lovely, crispy clean and sparkly. Very nice, Bags!
Great mix of very cool sounds.
very nice.
@igor: words fail me :) @sister: thank you :)
Lovely tones.
At heart it's a Tibetan, lost in mantras, is not seeking to escape because he did not need it anymore. He is in himself, completed. ~The Long Now~
Cool and distant, :)
Following on from Sirens, good use of space and delicate sounds, haunting.
Chilling and atmospheric, nice.
@Bethan: thanks... my imagery was of drifting far out on the edge of the solar system. A very similar feel... down in the inky depths.

Nice mix mate very cool.
Wind, cold wind right here, with echoes of nothingness - that's where the trick, but not "filtering", Matt, even if you... I think so.

Whatever he said, it works for me.
Sounds like the cops are after me, kept looking over my shoulder ;)

Brilliant!
Like some kind of cosmic pinball game.

Brings to mind the warding of evil spirits.
Very dark with threatening overtones. I like.

Beautiful. Very moving Igor.

Well spotted Kirk, yes.
In my hands Loop Shifter is anything but subtle :)
Deliciously offbeat.
Like this.
That was quite a slice!
Strange, ethereal, and beautiful. Like finding the end of the rainbow in a carnival full of faded charms.
Rather like this one. Maybe you should sing more often!
That seemed to just fly past... hypnotic!
I like!
Great beat, enjoyed the jam. Wish I could figure improvFriday out it seems like you guys have such fun.
Oh I like this. Very unusual. I'd like to know more.
Great chilled number.
