I guess this would be the "centerpiece" of the album. Like the rest of the album it really stumbles along the line between droney and simply repetitive, and it needs a bit of a reworking to reach its potential.
This is a fabulous song, the kind I wished I could make. Inspirational!
And I can't believe you liked my rpm album as much as you said based on what I have heard so far!

Wonderful track! Don't worry about it being "droney" or "repetitive"... you definitely have enough dynamics and other things going on to maintain interest throughout the entire tune. I wouldn't mind hearing the percussive elements a tad higher in the mix, but not by much. Good choice of timbres, too. *favorited and followed* :)

I was just playing along with a looper pedal, trying to work out some ideas for a "real" song. I was just recording straight to a single stereo track and not worrying much about my playing or the mix. But when I listened back afterwards, I thought…

Originally from RPM '07 album, this version has been reworked a fair bit.
The first part of this was a "hidden" untitled track on my original RPM '07 album; the second part was conceived as an intro to "shortwave" but it seemed to make sense to re-sequence them this way.

A live improvised recording for the RPM Challenge 2011

Kavin.: guitar, loops
Michelangelo: buzz guitar
Ross Reitzammer: flute
An experiment that became a meditation.
Two tracks. One guitar, one looper, one e-bow, two tracks and a touch of Live's Overdrive effect on the second e-bow track.
The starting premise was could I get the sound of many guitars by continually…
Another one for the RPM2011 pile. Vocals are a bit shonky so apologies for that. If you don't like the start I would give the ending a try. If you don't like that either, I'm sorry to have wasted your time. The subject matter's self-explanatory…

I actually got inspiration from watching the TV show Dexter XD I love it so much!
ok, volume is fixed, and the title too. Maybe soon I will mix it better or perhaps just move on to better things. Thanks to those who gave excellent advice on previous version.
and the #2 version has been deleted (actually this is #2).
Nice track; the bass & guitar fit well together, tonally.
I can't upload an unsegmented version of MFR to alonetone because of the 40Mb limit, but you can download it here instead:

enjoy!
another experimental piece. This time we each played our parts separately. I started out with wacked out guitar madness, then bass, then drums and finally some insanely spacey sound effects.
Enjoy...

Very nice live recording!
Very polished & professional-sounding.
Great. Subdued, tasteful.
Nice song, nice performance! Good power-pop guitar sound.
Fantastic vocal harmonies!
Very nice; the background percussion adds a lot of atmopshere and the intro & outro are like bonus tracks!
Love the vocal delivery and the 50s slapback echo(?). Great place in the album for an upbeat song, too!
Nice... raw & natural but smooth & full!
Nice album; I like the title pun too. Thanks for the comments; everything is OK here in western Japan.
Great opener to a great album.
Superb, this album. The multi-instrumental approach is definitely a big strength, but the way everything forms a cohesive whole is really impressive.
Great!
Good album throughout, but the arrangement here is particularly great.
I'll eat the pickles; you eat the burgers. Liking this album; on my third listen!

Great treatment on the vocals & overall sound!
Do people still say "awesome?" Anyway, this track is awesome!
Very nice... Roy Montgomery-esque!
I love the saturated sound on this one!
