Any Landing

Learning to swim seems crazy
When the water’s a little hazy
And your feet can’t touch the sand
I’ve seen too many shark films lately
I’m thinking maybe
We should be heading back to dry land

Spending these several past years
Working through my last fears
Watching from dry ground
Now as I can’t stand rightly
The current has us tightly
We’re going down

Just when I can’t take any more
Somehow we’re washed up on the shore

Learning to fly seems crazy
When the sky’s so hazy
And I’m afraid of heights
I’ve seen too many crashes lately
I’m thinking maybe
We shouldn’t take this flight

I’m signaling to the tower
We’re going down

Skid to a stop and pop the hatch
And walk away without a scratch

Find a way to nearly die another day
The only way you know how to live my friend

Is a good one in the end
