you tell me what you want
you tell what you need
i cant give you nothing honey
but this pretty little seed
where has the sun gone
and is it gone forever
will it come back someday
should we just give it some time
i ask you what…
Neat tune! It reminds me of a Leonard Cohen/Roger Waters kind of thing. There was also a band a number of years back called King Swamp that this REALLY reminds me of.
i am thinking about words tonight
they can be hard as nails
they-can be as shapeless as water
they can break your heart
they can hang like a chain
hold you up for years
cause you to think twice
take away your fears
you are falling in love…
i saw the curtains changing color
i watched the sun room come alive
i have been sitting in this rocker
wondering when you might arrive
i am hoping for redemption
cant stand the way i feel
i know it is only passing through me
rivers flood…
Thanks for the explanation. It is a beautiful song, and also very sad. And yet, there is something in it that sounds like the need to keep going, regrets and all. Nice work!
(If you want to hear a song with a similar theme, check out Droodle's song, "Jesus Bun")

full of pregnant stars
the world outside is so fertile

maybe you could hip me to him. If you get to Newport, look up Bob Madden, great drummer! He would dig you songs too!

when i was 18 i took in a runaway
she crawled into my bed on the 7th day
i played her music and i cooked her food

amused, desire to feel inside and will i mean it
confused, and scared of what I'll find, and will I believe it
it's just a scratch but infection has already set it
we go on like the world will never end
no fear of tomorrow, no fear of today…
shame I make the same mistakes each time
adding up, piling on this list of my crimes
the biggest to the smallest weigh the same to me

sorry to hear you have been sick but it sounds as if it was productive. now that i am listening i think i may have alreadt commented on this. i am not sure how to take you r songs. they are so honest yet i cant tell if you are making up the feelings as if you are a blues singer or if you truely are telling your story. what ever you have something very relivant.
This was written for RPM 2009, mostly in January and was inspired by from a mix of current events and personal journey.

up and down her fingers
She holds the door to the castle

So this is about a friend? I thought it was to a child, from a parent who was far away. It's very touching.
nice
warmly sentimental, gooey with sincerity. bravely taking back an intimidating subject. gutsy stuff.
Like the growly vocal.
Really enjoyed this one. Made it a favorite. Nice.
Nice tune Timman. Can't help but think of Wilco...which is a good thing in my ears.Godchaser says you're missed at MJ's.

i like your seemingly random melodies. as if you are making it up as you go. probubly the best way tim
you have the same kind of theatrical thing going on as does pink floyd tim
