Listening on headphones. For such a short production, you took the mixing and mastering seriously. I really respect and appreciate that. It's short, but it's fun, and particularly so when ya can enjoy the full stereo effect that can only be had with a headphone listen. Wow -- my comment is longer than your recording!
haha…. you're entry is a bit like the guy down the street from me who has neighbors on either side with crazy elaborate outdoor Christmas displays, and hangs a simple sign reading I like it,, but I like the elaborate ones better.
I had another version of this Stan Rogers tune up here before. But I recently decided to invest in some nice plugins for my recording setup (IZotope). I used this tune as a learning project and it came out so much better than what I had before…
I'd been following the Euro horsemeat scandal since it broke in the UK some time ago. But the songwriter in me didn't react until Ikea found pony in their Swedish meatballs the other day.

I have always been very fond of this song, and have enjoyed over a hundred versions in my 54 years on planet Earth. This one sails very near the top of the best versions of this most definitive sea shanty that I've heard.

This song is the result of exchanging "One Line Zingers" with my friend Tom last Saturday while playing a little music.
He challenged me to write a song about him and he would do the same at my expense.
The funiest song wins.

Love it. I get a total sense of how great that hiking is without having to throw my back out of joint schlepping a heavy pack, soaking my aching feet, or providing culinary delights for the Minnesota State Bird!

Ahhh crap - now my beer is all salty!!
Ha! Another one discovers that you can use banjo AND squeezebox and get away with it!!
Bloody birds! They do it every time.
Big clean transparent sound. Wish I knew how you do it. (Good blues tune too!)
Congrats on being able to retire. I probably never will. You got much more than stories left, sir. You got songs!
Nice use of 12-string acoustic.
Those acoustic guitars sound super.
@valsvil - Just me. No, I lied. There was also a bottle of rum involved.
Really nice production! You've obviously been to that joint a few times. Now what about a tune "Minnesota Mosquitos"?
Who the heck are you? Never saw the man before in my life, officer!
Uhm, right. That explains why James Taylor was such a flop. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AUFwk1Ibwkc
I love it that you're doing mandolin. I want to do more with it myself but it is PAINFUL!! (Not to mention tuned in blasted 5THS!!

Reminds me of the night I was drunk and adrift in a longboat.
