This is really a true story.
No, really...

I just listened to your demos, and I think they sound fine as they are. The dance music didn't make me head for the fallout shelter, and this song is actually very nice. I don't think you did a bad job on them at all.

Great stuff! I am commenting on this on specifically because it is the one I most enjoyed, though that is not to disparage the other tracks in any way... Was this one done for any RPM? I am a fellow February-er which is why I ask. Keep up stuff!
This is the basic theme for "weekend in new orleans", a documentary we're currently writing the soundtrack for (it'll be adapted with variations throughout the film). It's very quiet. (Video trailer coming shortly.)
Using the waltz beat from the 1958 record album "Rhythm Accompaniment", with the composer on all other instruments. The spoken bits are of xenophobic Utah State Senator Chris Buttars. Written and recorded in February 2009 for the RPM Challenge.
Several years ago I had a short lived duo with an oboe and English horn player named Nat. This is a demo from that period. It's an old old chord progression of mine that never really had a melody and Nat improvised this melody in the studio to…
I spent the day skrewing around with this Roumanian Minor scale again. I am really testing layered drums on this one, Toms mostly.
There's a lot happening. Acoustic, Strat, Bass, 4 Juno tracks, and all kinds of percussion.
Only a two chord change…
Close your eyes, and come with me. It is a warm Autumn eve in the Black Forest. There are ancient folk tales about this magical wood... how late at night it comes to life with mischievious fairies and wood nymphs. Any mortal who hears the unusual…
So this is a song that my friend Gordy Macdonald wrote for his band Side Project around 10 years. Recently he has been going through his old mini disc demos (after finally getting a mini disc player) and he sent me this song along to see what…
Another collab. Words by Gordy Macdonald. Music by yours truly.
You said you hate me when I sing
So I scream myself hoarse for you
Until my voice breaks like the morning
But I'll never hate you too
(Chorus)
This is where I'd tell you
All that…
A very special love song.
Featuring Ewan Crossan on guitar.
One touch
Can make you do anything
Your light shows me everything
Please know i'll carry you everywhere
I go, my plaything
Chorus:
And i knew i'd have you
moment my eyes…

Left over audio from "How to Glu"
This one is about power and resistence.. which I find to be quite sexy when I think about it.
Instrumentation: distorted and clean acoustic guitar, swords, tabla, synth, drum programming, clapping, vocals.

Excellent idea to incorporate river dancers! Percussion at it's finest - the dance becoming the song.
