Featuring Mark Hubbard & Duma, on didj & percussion respectively, this one begins as the most traditionally structured piece on the album. But don't get used to it, it doesn't last long... just enough to ease you into the formlessness…
All first take improvisations. 8 tracks of madness for your enjoyment. Ear goggles will put you inside this piece. Not recommended for the faint of heart!
Recorded between 9AM - 7PM on the 26th of February.
Nice. The intro brings back memories. I don't know what you created there by combining those digital and organic elements, but I like it.
It's an unsettling atmosphere and makes you think.

@kavin. - lol, that's just it: I did not persevere --- *I gave up!* :-)
The 'real' songs will be coming along before too long... but unfortunately they are too late to count for RPM...
These were just my glimpses into formlessness... but you know how it is... the longer you look into it, the more you realize there are layers of order within the chaos.
I'm just tryin' to surf the chaos.
...or at least stay afloat!

Loving the percussion of the first 2 mins. From then on, it felt like being inside an erupting volcano, until the end when it just shot from ear to ear. Most clever indeed.

Here's another little something that I somehow got sidetracked on posting.... Thanks for the jams Norm! One of these days I'll bounce something fresh your way....
A "remix" I did a while back that got lost in the shuffle. The original was for our 2010 RPM album "Onion Bell" and can be found here: http://alonetone.com/cavestreet/playlists/onion-bell

At one point, I had a version recorded with much better guitar -- at least I thought I did -- but I can't find it now...
Another one of those tunes that kept growing after the demo was laid down, this song now has twice as many verses as you…
I did this weeks ago & then found it again last night as I was archiving old files. This is one of those one-off improv sessions... I recorded the rhythm guitar in one pass, then one "lead" pass and then one vocal pass, and done. Even the…
This acoustic song is a drunk nihilistic escapade with a surprise ending; so if you like to howl, join along and do your best "ahhoooo.."
Lyrics:
At full moon, I was drunk as a skunk
My belly full of bourbon, and my breath really stunk…
Back to basics here. recorded with the Yeti mic.
Ramblin' round your city, ramblin' round your town
I never see a friend I know
As I go ramblin' round boys
As I go ramblin' round
My sweetheart and my parents I left in my old hometown…
This started with a couple of samples in a new version of Boite Diabolique where the samplers slide over them at different rates and varying granular density. I recorded some of that as I varied the rates and then brought the recording into Live…
Hey friends, it's been awhile! I just got back from Alpharetta, where I managed to get a few short hours hanging with my good friend Treefrog. We recorded a whole bunch of weird noises & then decided to do at least one "real" song. This is…
so you came in to play the muse
b/c your strung out from the road
and you were never much into coal
but your in love with a big black hole
sometime your enemies come in two
and your friends too
but you are one to choose
that you may win
and…
Well this just put a huge grin on my face! I like the breaks & the over the top (in the best way) vocal.... too bad a bout the clipping towards the end, is this one re-mixable?
This is my submission for Akron/Family's "Woody Guthrie's America" Project.

"My Love Belongs To You"
I may not know what I want to wear
or the best way to style my hair
I don’t know where I want to live
but I do have a lot of love to give
I don’t have many answers in life
but there’s one important one I do
and…
She keeps the stars from heading home
Just like a running grave

I wonder where I'm supposed to be
'Cause if the worlds a clock
Then she's the lock
That keeps it still every time she talks
She sees the space beneath…
The long 8 minute track from "The Haystack" revisited. I hope you all enjoy the more chilled out version w/o the spoken words.
Thinking of going back and recording the whole album over again as it was a rushed rpm 2010 thing.
This is an excellent track. Transportational!
I suggest playing this in one window while playing [Read Meat 1 by ACID](http://alonetone.com/acid/tracks/red-meat-1) in another! Awesome ambient mash-up!
Dude. I'm listening to this track of yours with [this track](http://alonetone.com/crypticmeadow78/tracks/bravely-go_revisited) in another window and it's pretty incredibly awesome. Total ambient mash up.
The three times he came to him
were in fact the three eyes of man
thrice his eyes decieved him
lies only made his wisdom
as deception distorted him
as inception courted him
the martyr of all man
the horror, for after all, satan
in his pure moment…

Did this back in 2009.
Before me and Jim actually met each other...
The music was improvised to the notion of returning home from space.
Jim did the Lyrics in 5 mins over the net..
And here it is..
My Harmonica was broken by the way. My…

Improvisation is what I love, finding out about things (when there is a little time).
I also post the video where I have used it in. Hedgehogs were here last year in our garden, and now they start coming back from hibernation. Uk, the hedgehog…
It seems a lot of you record with open mics and can relate. I record 1 track at a time with usually 4 or 5 tracks. So, Im only asking for about 15 minutes of Silence...IS THIS TOO MUCH TO ASK??? Anyway, my house is so loud, I get a lot of bloopers…
Sloane did me a favor & played an electric guitar part on this one. I had hoped to work with her more on this project, but she wound up leaving town to help take care for a recovering family member.

As far as I recall, that was simply a stock rhythm track from an old Alesis drum machine. I was applying some effects in real time during the mix, bringing the level up & down which gives it that cool swirly dynamic...
Thanks for listening!
Comments on Cave Street's stuff
Great! I was missing the long prog tracks till I got here, heh.
Digging this musical exploration of yours. Very nice!

Nice one, Nick.... nice & spooky. This is just about my speed. I could see (hear) myself possibly covering this one some day...
Nice one!
That choir chant coming in and out definitely makes this more psychedelic and somewhat disorienting... Nice textures & space.
> Wildgeas Music said > Nice job on the mix. Thanks! The one up now is the newer one, tried to clean it up just a bit...
Dig the vocal effect on this one! What are you using?

Thanks, Trevor. Sometimes I feel like all my stuff sounds the same, so it's nice to hear that!
Dig the double vocal. Catchy tune, Trev! Reminds of the Ween 4track days.
Nice... I like the layered guitar tones. Also the percussion kicks. *Great track!* Welcome to Alonetone!
Thanks for the words! Sure would dig it if you'd post them for all your tunes.... help out these old rock n roll ears!
