Love it intro is great, especially when Colleen says we are in Greg's recording studio!! (can I book a few hours?) outstanding song and great vocals all around, sweet harmonies!! I can't believe how good a sound you get recording live at the coffee table...no phones ringing, no dogs barking, no one yelling "turn it down"....ha ha........ I name this band LoDillCo
It's been a long time. Too many distractions and not enough time, or even focus to play lately.
Somehow this song, "Higher Ground" squeaked out from some hidden place.
That’s a nice piece of music! I pictured downhill skiing or snowboarding. I’ll admit, we had a whole week of snow last week. That may be why I’m thinking along those lines.

A simple one-track mandolin tune. In fact it's the first tune I ever made on the mandolin. I think it would be better with a bodhran drum accompanying it, but I don't know how to play those!
Maybe someday this will work its way into something…
A friend asked me,
"Don't you have any happy songs?"
So I wrote one!

Foolishly, I thought it would only take a week or so to record... I was originally expecting…
So I had this song, not quite finished, I sort of insisted Greg Connor sing it, he also wrote the last verse. Steve Krell added the solo break. I think they helped to bring the song alive. Oh yeah, I'm in the Chorus ...... hiding Somewhere. :) :)

Hey Colleen, you asked "Who did the scary cries????"
There are two theories:
1. It's Rita calling me for dinner.
2. It's my world famous Elk Rut recordings that I usually play every Halloween.
Well... I have a feeling that many of us may wish for a 2020 do-over. So here's a simple song to make that wish for us all!
