Top Of The Pops circa 1972! Remember when all those bands in the early 70's where adding synth to every song but the lyrics meant something (sometimes)? Pure excitement, pure bubblegum, pure fun. Well, this is my offering and thanks to all of…

Alright, you've kinda outdone yourself this year. This is insanely hot.

Hello 1977! This song sounds like 1977 to me. So, I totally played it up, right down to the reverb on the vocals. Enjoy.

Hello, I love these songs! Damn beauty going on here Gary. This one reminds me of ELO, back when they were really good (before Disco and white candy ate their brains).

OK, does it really make sense if I designate EVERY track as a "favorite"? - looks like I'm doing it anyway!

Get on your bellbottoms, and get out on the floor. There's more to the song than you realize, but just dance baby, just dance.

The title track to the new album. Turn it up. Listen all the way through and there's some ear candy at the end for you. ;)

The gtr came first, then the vox, then the bass. Bass players tend to really like this song.

I know what it is, you're a mixture of Lennon AND McCartney, with a bunch of seventies rock chucked in - this is why I love your stuff so much...

Originally conceived as a mellow-ish, Stephen Stills sounding number (at least the verses), then the chorus came to me out of nowhere and turned the whole song on it's ear. I think that was for the better. I have to admit that I surprised myself…

Monster stuff. It rocks, it's melodic, big in-the-face scrunchy guitar, love those vocals. And the bass at 3.10 or so! Then the build up to 4.35 and the guitar and last chorus... Those top harmonies at the end. Big grin on the face time... A masterpiece.

Figure Out- There are about 4-5 takes of this song, all different. The song started off in the key of D, but I couldn’t hit the notes in the chorus. I then tried it in A, but it was lacking drive and energy. I tried it in G, but I couldn’t get…

Matter Of Fate- This song started as a riff I was doing while tuning my guitar. It sounded cool, so I happened to record it on a small dictation recorder I have so I wouldn’t forget it. When I listened to the riff it just screamed Sticky Fingers…

Whoa! I like this very much. Yep Sticky Fingers, but with, I dunno, a Joe Walsh kind of vocal. Nice one.

Allelujiah-This was supposed to be a completely different song, but this one just wrote itself instead. It’s almost all first take, except for the bass, which took a while to get straight so that it wouldn’t overwhelm the song. It has this tone…

Fantastic song. :-) How did you get this raw voice: whiskey, some other drink, or sandpaper?

I worked on this one off and on through '05 and '06. I did numerous demos of it (just me and an acoustic) before finally recording it proper. Originally I intended it as a slower, more ethereal (read:reverby) piece, but it just wasn't cutting…

Nice one Gary, the bass and beat really hold the tone together with your voice.
