I think I dislike this song, but it's been sitting in my bounce folder far too long and something about it still makes me play it from time to time. Maybe you will like it more than I do. the simple lyric is not meant to be interpreted literally…
From today's one hour session:
acoustic guitar, fretless electric bass, tabla, tambourine, and the synthesque sound is the electric guitar played with a violin bow

Yeah I noticed yourself and Tess had done 1 hour tunes but I missed where it all started.
This one is very cool. It's like spaghetti western with a cappacino and candles. ;~))
written, recorded, and poorly mixed in one hour.
Instrumentation: acoustic guitar, fretless bass,
2 tablas, tambourine, rattle, and human body
for snapping, clapping, and vocals.

I love the fact that you are honest about the fact that you're not sure if you like the track. I sometimes feel like that about tracks of mine.
I really like this and actually don't know why you don't like it. It's really got me bouncing along to it...very good.

another one from the morning sessions...
Glu and Sister Savage bring you these remixes!
Original track by Sister Savage:
http://alonetone.com/sistersavage/tracks/little-england
I added melodies to the initial track and then Sister Savage
rerecorded the vocals to match the new melody.

There's nothing like hot coffee, and this is nothing like any hot coffee I've ever had (maybe because I don't usually get it in my ears.) The first few seconds made me smile, and as the inventively rich aural brew took over my senses, the smile overflowed my mug. This was a very fun interlude, beautifully beat-chopped and tastefully presented... and as with all coffee, it was over too soon (I'd suggest a teeny bit of a different ending, not so abrupt, perhaps?) Loved this.
Here I attempt to articulate a few distinct feelings of the home, or the affect of cultivating one's own space, or not.
Instrumentation: house keys, pots and pans, long bamboo flute, synth, drum programming, voice(s), and didgeridoo (a real…
This one's for that little black and tan, Nahannah.
Lyrics:
I said nahnay nahnay nahnay hey
how'd you get so good
how'd you get so good
I said nahnay nahnay nahnay hey
how'd you get so good

Sudara mentioned yesterday that the new Logic had super cool guitar stuff. This is me checking it out.
Two guitar tracks, using just the double phaser, simple amp model and an insane space designer preset.
Used one of the mastering presets…
Several years ago I had a short lived duo with an oboe and English horn player named Nat. This is a demo from that period. It's an old old chord progression of mine that never really had a melody and Nat improvised this melody in the studio to…
Experimenting with my piano/keyboard skillz and a first attempt at record clapping. Needs a good go over with some quality drums and some better arranging. Everything sounds very "synthy" on account of I don't have any quality VSTi at the moment.
I spent the day skrewing around with this Roumanian Minor scale again. I am really testing layered drums on this one, Toms mostly.
There's a lot happening. Acoustic, Strat, Bass, 4 Juno tracks, and all kinds of percussion.
Only a two chord change…

Left over audio from "How to Glu"
This one is about power and resistence.. which I find to be quite sexy when I think about it.
Instrumentation: distorted and clean acoustic guitar, swords, tabla, synth, drum programming, clapping, vocals.
@ ic42.. I think the hopes of change after a revolution fades out.. so in a way it's kind of a poetic ending.. maybe not though.. maybe it needs to go out with an explosion.. will think about it. Thanks for the comments.. and that goes for all of you! Really appreciate it!
A track created for a character called Rainy, on the North walk (entitled "Life Is Monumental") of "Charm City Remix", a site-specific narrative by Kianga Ford.
Soundtrack for the video version of a shadow puppet show ("Awake", below, was an excerpt/prototype for this piece). A link to the YouTube video of the show is below!
I told the [good Sister](http://alonetone.com/sistersavage) that I wanted to try using vocals in a track and she offered to do me some abstract, stylized, vocals that I could play with and this little number is the result.
Working with wet (pre…
Well now, this is actually a very old track, made back in March '09 and not that long after I started learning piano.
I was learning a very simple 12-bar blues piece and getting bored with the piano sound I started messing about with the Logic…
Comments on glu's stuff
nice one!
simply beautiful
A very good shimmery theme! (Great build, too...)
Man, I'm gonna have to use that violin bow technique. Very wonderful texture! (And not too damned shabby for an hour of work!) k
Yeah I noticed yourself and Tess had done 1 hour tunes but I missed where it all started. This one is very cool. It's like spaghetti western with a cappacino and candles. ;~))
I've been really into an 80's, new order style sound lately. This track really does it for me.
yikes! cutthroat! How did you pass me up within a few minutes.. I just checked!
glu takes down w in 4, but i see w reaching out to tag cheney...i'm looking forward to glu vs. cheney...
Lovely stuff. Had me in the first 30 seconds with this one

I love the instrumentation and building vocals, even though its the same line over and over!
I like the vulnerable harmony.
this is like the cool fade out end attached to another great glu tune
Cool groove on this one- great stuff!!
i never know what to expect to hear from a glu song, but its always good stuff and pleasantly surprising in many ways...
Apparently, I need to buy better coffee. Mine is not this inspiring.
So gooooood.
Love the keys! Reminds me of good things I can't quite remember... well done guys, great tune. Sounds like "if Orbital could do sexy"
