haven't heard original .......but I like this from the mouthful of gum backing Dave guitar, orh organ to your well delivered vocal.......nice bit of lead there Dave .........
i must say what a fantastic mix sandy i absolutely love it.
i have had the privelege of hearing this from the outset, about 2 or 3 weeks ago sandy sent me his (in my eyes completed) version and i added my bits, then passed the baton onto dave to add his bits, so i have heard three earlier versions, then my inner puppy was dying to hear the finished piece and had to contain myself for two weeks.
wow! it was well worth the wait and the vocal rythms are the icing on the cake.
oh some of you may recognise mrs orh's laugh as she appears on quite a few of my songs(thanks for leaving it in) she was in the next room and her timing unplanned but perfect imho.
Ha, thanks bro - You are defo the in crowd regarding 'ol Greg!
I think you guys did a great job here. Without doubt wins the Golden Gould hands down!
Freaky... The three of you went entirely insane for a brief moment!
my first exp with the chorus in this song was from the bangles album 'everything.' it was a b-side and it just referenced this song. remembering it, i am so glad i heard the real song now, i dont care that it wasnt done by bowie, you did a fine job.
Final version
Guitar, mandolin and voice.
this doesn't fit with my rpm project AT ALL so i may not use it but i like the way it came out. I recorded the music for Bethan Mathis' RPM project but she didn't have time to use it (her album is…
This is a piece written for 37signals, made to accompany a [fun video they did on Letterpress printing](http://37signals.com/svn/posts/2795-a-letterpressed-thank-you)
The track is best listened to in context of the video, since it's scored…
every moment
each day
searching
for something
someone
to feel
know
care
every face
each friend
rejection
and its too much
too much
too much
to bear
it's been a long
long
time coming
it's a long
long
way home
every moment
each inch of time…
Reg was talking to Elvis about Frank and he told him something he didn't know.you can have it all then at the end not remember it which is what happened to Frank the grind ground him down a sad ending for a great man......Dementia is a cruel end…
This is a collaboration with a prolific chap called James Higgins (oldrottenhead on songcrafters.org), based on an instrumental of mine from a couple of years ago: http://alonetone.com/andyr/tracks/muletide
I was quietly minding my own business…
The old tin geetar...
Did this one sometime in 2009 on a Boss MBR. I'd recently joined what became Songcrafters.org and PJ (Wiley) posted a bass/drum track for us ubiquitous blues guitarists to solo over.
I decided to go a different route…
Final version
RPM 2011 - my first track recorded and the opening track for the CD
A kind of Old Time gospel number, which, if you listen to those pre-war guitar playing preachers, are virtually indistinguishable from blues. Except for the lyrics…
Final version
Guitar, mandolin and voice.

Wow, this is stunning. Beautiful melancholy. Such a gentle, passionate feel on the mandolin, guitar and your vocal is breathtaking. Wow again. Love this.
I'm finally happy with this track - v1 was too much of a nothing song and it's been bugging me all the way to the last night of the challenge.
1 more to mix
a variation of the irish traditional song, "Siun Ni Dhuibnir"
susan o'dwyer
i walked out one morning
for market to buy and sell
as others before me
tis' thirsty, there i fell
and sat down to drink
with susan o'dwyer to tell
we drank…
in memory of ben keith
man of steel
heard your sound
as i roamed
in early days
of wonder
time was right
cast that spell
ever since
i've been under
bendin' notes
waves of air
all colors
of emotion
dark and light
deeply stirred…
