Sassy Nation version!
Sister Savage and Mr Sandbags collaborated on the original of this wonderful heartbreaker of a song. I've been playing it on the guitar the last few days and it always seemed to come out with a grittier tone, so i asked…
I needed a place to host a work in progress where it wouldn't be obvious so you might have found a secret mix!!!
So that 4 minute song with the slide guitar that no-one listens to is gone ;-)

My first impression is that the vocals are now too low in the mix. I much preferred mix3a. However, this is the first music I've listened to through this machine and heads so have no basis for comparison. So far I'm just delighted that the technology works.

Final version
One of my heroes. Willie McTell was blind from birth and travelled all over the south in the thirties at a time when many people would never go more than 20 miles from their home.
Plus nobody sings the blues quite like him…
This is a bonus track as it didn't make the album
For those of you who know my stuff - does this sound like it works? or is it too much like filler - the vocals are effected, there's a drum loop - the guitar is just chopped out of a jam - i…
Final version
Guitar, mandolin and voice.
this doesn't fit with my rpm project AT ALL so i may not use it but i like the way it came out. I recorded the music for Bethan Mathis' RPM project but she didn't have time to use it (her album is…
I'm finally happy with this track - v1 was too much of a nothing song and it's been bugging me all the way to the last night of the challenge.
1 more to mix

I believe 'yarrrr' is Pirate for "More Rum, by the salty sheets of Windy Gail". So it could be wearing thin, but is more likely just a little slurred LOL
My Pirate song. Sounds more like a polka band, but what the hell. I had fun doing it.
a song for Gumbo.
we sailed the angry seas
til we found a neutral port
we rowed the ship to shore
to go and find a fancy whore
down at the Buccaneer inn…

This is my 2007 Pirate Day song, written and recorded September 19th 2007. I like the innuendo, but maybe it's too subtle - nobody else seems to notice ;~)
I've been working on this one little by little; now I'm at a point where I do not feel like revisiting the feeling. Moves from 3/4 to 4/4, or so I think.. kind of like a 7/4 time sig but not really. typical glu instrumentation, etc.

What could be more Piratical than a Polka Band! Yargghh for the house band, and circulate the flaggons lads!
re: Cornish - that's a puzzle then re: Pirate love songs - plenty of room for a love song - Pirates have big hearts - just ask Davy Jones!
Great. I added it to the Pirate Radio Playlist, Alan. Cheers.
