it is a winter blanket of snow. it smothers life. it attempts to silence all sound. however, small ghosts of music escape. they always find each other. every winter they dance together. they are the notes of christmas past. 0x0

Hi IC42,
Use Cubase engine with seperate composition
software- 'Onyx arranger'.
When composing , i have two apps open at
the same time. The sequencer passes data
via virtual midi cable to the cubase mixer.
VSTi - Nexus , Sampletank , M51 , Jupiter.
vst - waves collection.
Use Melodyne for vocals.
Adobe Audition for editing cuts.
T-tracks 3 for mastering.
Protection until time.

I'm Learning MAO with Reason, this is my first track using this software :D
This is just a test, there's no real end to the track, the purpose was to get to understand the general process of compositing with Reason. ;)
experimenting with reason creates wonder in music. what other reason can there be? it is a successful experiment, creating a sense of wonder and mystery. The Tao of MAO. 0x0
LYRICS:
Tonight when you go to sleep
I pray your god your soul is in too deep
Should you die before you wake
I'll know your life was a big mistake
I don't want to kill you
All I want is just to see your pain
I want you to suffer
Again…

you are like the rain that falls with the snow
or is it the other way around
i dont know
all i know is i love you
and cant get above you
it is driving with no place to go
the muscle and the bone i find
that keeps my heart in line
just…

You know when you're creating something and it comes out exactly how you wanted it, and then it becomes you favorite? This one is still my favorite and has not been dethroned yet.
The song is all by me - words, vocals, bass, the "guitar…
many sirens are not female. i know many shipwrecks. it is sad. the song repeats the raw mistakes, a metaphorical rock to break up on over and over. it is well done music. it is hoped you find better seas. 0x0

it is soft and gentle, rings on the lake. it creates the mood of twilight. the sonicmood software is a new tool, i have not heard of it before. perhaps it is a good tool to add to my toolbox. there can never be enough tools.

Rough sketch of a proposed dreamy 12 string piece that I couldn't pull off on the 12 string so did this quick electric version with vocal pads. Not sure of the recording quality- sounds OK in my cans and kinda crappy on my monitors. Recorded march…
didn't know what to call this track, but once i came up with a title, it wrote itself! i heard on npr about how all this junk of ours is making outerspace around Earth a very dangerous place to be. this track is trying to reflect that danger.
it is a journey filled with repetition. some of the soundscape is a reminder of tangerine dream. there is beauty and fear hidden between the notes. it is well architected music. thank you for listening to my music, and pointing me to yours.

Also for the film, "Pattern Pattern," this goes with a scene of an artist. First you see him up close for a moment. He's drawing. Then you see him walking a distant ridge at dusk.
it is a lone ghost of a woman's voice. it is beautiful and haunting. it is she-thereal. the song takes the mind to that distant ridge. it is a voice that can be listened to forever. 0x0
More vocalizing and mashing for the soundtrack for my artist friend's film, "Pattern Pattern." This accompanies a scene of lights flashing in and out of sequence.
a curved voice. it is a great instrument. i repeat. it is a great instrument. especially when it is repeated. this was a good experiment. wishes for a great film.
one and zero. the piano is a mirage. all that remains is a digital path, and a memory of a beautiful piano. it is an elegy for analog. a tear is wept for the loss. it is now the era of the cold digital synthesizer. 0x0
When I put these last 3 songs on itunes, my computer did something weird. It told me that these songs were already out there on the internet somewhere. So, in order not to infringe on any copyright laws, I would like to assure everyone that NONE…
it is a fun song. it is good that i did not leave my toothbrush in st louis, so i can smile with clean teeth. i think it is good to lose your toothbrush, if it creates this music.
A short project in a community college protools class where we had to create a song from what ever we could record in the class, like key chains ect.. It made me think of a scene in a movie where the submarine is diving.
it is a collage for college. a submarine dives among a pod of dolphins. or a school of fresh-man fish. it is an excellent experiment to convert ambient class sounds into high class music. it deserves an A#. 0x0
it is zajjy and offbeat. it is almost a tao of tonality. it is dizzy. it is not gillespie. do not follow its path too closely. it knows not its destination. generative music.
each music is created in different ways. usually a long generative sequence is created, and a small interesting area is captured for use. then more parts are added, rhythm and bass perhaps. a beginning and an ending must be written by hand. some notes are changed by hand. instruments are assigned each track by hand. for this piece, a generative sequence was created from wolframtones web site. sometimes this is used. it is one of many secret generative creators. oh, it is no longer a secret now.
This song was written to celebrate freedom, actually, (the Russian at the end is one of the dudes from Freesound.com saying "sound should be free!") after a decade when I wasn't. Props to Shreya, who apparently is like me and will just not go…
it is a zen chant, a rhythm and voice stretched across time. the chords massage the mind, the words captivate on edge of obscurity. an unexpected gunshot alters the direction of the future. perhaps a different kind of freedom?
it is good to taste happiness. it is good to want happiness and not always have it. it causes us to work, to create, to achieve. here you have worked, practiced, and achieved 2:34 minutes of happiness. it is good. 0x0
A further march down the road in acl's evolution - and one of the many directions we've been dying to get to... it's, ummm, water-y. (And this song is especially dedicated to J Wentz.)
