I am currently working on a Concept album with a good friend of mine and great musician/ guitarist Chuck D. Although this track does not feature Chuck , it was developed based on the chord progression he came up with which opens the song up. We…

a wee short one
A long time has passed since we last met
I hope that life’s been treating you well
And what are you up to these days
Are you with somebody else
And do you see any of the old crowd
I wonder where they all are now
The years…

This is a love song I just wrote. It's the first normal love song I've written since "Western Hills" (i.e., three years). Writing love songs is kind of risky. If it doesn't work out- you're stuck with singing a song with all these unusual associations…

That is an incredible tune. Lyrically excellent! I love the riff. Those acoustics sound perfecto! Short but sweet, makes u want to hear more. Great Andrew :).
Jeff's tone on this and another one of our trax remind me of Adrian Belew's Rhinoscirus. kOss pHactor is a NinJam based trio of Jeff Duke, Ray Istorico and Jim Goodin, fusing electronics and improvisation in to their sound canvases.
Another demo (no vocals) from 2011.

Comments on JR James's stuff
I like this version better than Arrival ...
Hey James ... another great track ...sounds progressive ...thank you for your feedback on my song! ...It's so hard to get your music out there ...
digging the off-rhythms juxtaposition with the lead
Pretty cool ...better voice than Hendrix and Dylan ....great guitar also
Ahh Yes.
Good one James, more nerve than me, and a damn better player.
One of my favourite songs, nice one!

James, why so many versions? I'm not complaining; they're all very good listening.
Another fine version lol!
..those eight fingers on your left hand come in useful, don't they, James? ...awestruck..
Great track! Play it, James!
This just keeps getting better & better! What a brilliant track! w;-)
Elements reminiscent of Zawinul, Mahavishnu, and Santana all merged into something else. NIce.

Trippy greatness.
Sweet track. Love the mix on this. Nicely done.
Reminds me of Cheap Trick. Especially when the synth comes in. Some good ground work for some vocals.
Deadly dropped tuning riffage.
Yes. A heavy Cars influence, even if unintentional still very cool.
Big sound. Very nice mix as well.
Grizzly vocal. The horns fit perfect.
Love this...nice colors and textures...a sonic painting.
Like this...really focuses on your voice. Love the stacked harmony with Sis in there. Reminds me of Guennivere by CSNY. Beauty of a song.
I like the mood of this tune.
If you do not do work for film....u should. Very nice piece here.
Damn good again.
So nice to hear this at 5:30am. Way to start the day.
Heartfelt song.
Sweet....love the blend of vocals.
