I thought it would be fitting to post this today, on Memorial Day, as a tribute to my friend William Easley, as well as all who have fought and died in wars, American or otherwise.
Sometime back in the 60's William (Billy from here on) heard…
Thank you dear. It was Tess thought I should have an account for my ukey tracks but I had been drinking! I have enjoyed the last few days though. We shall see. x
Found it!!!! The atmosphere must have been amazing!
Ah, thanks Tess, nice cup of coffee, now I'm comfy! I don't know why she's so bright, she was out on the tiles half the night! Cool, this is great! You sound like you know each other very well. Perfect timing.
Hi Kavin, I'm in finding my old faves of yours, clogging up the home page but as there's no-one around it's ok. So wonderful to hear these again. I'm looking for D&K too.
Love Bee
Title song from this years RPM Challenge.
Lyrics:
Shot dead
is what I felt when I first looked into your eyes
Shot dead
Is what I became, I tell you that ain't no lie
My head
it just exploded when I saw that way that you dance

Final version
Every so often when i'm thinking of something else a western song pops up as if there is a soundtrack to a movie running in the back of my head. I might have to gather em all up into a playlist some day.
track nine, or at least…

Final version of this tune - voice and guitar, banjoe accompaniment

I've noticed the Yeti has a lot of midrange, so I've been adjusting eq for that, like GN said. It's actually perfect for this style, type of song, sounds like an old 78, without the cracks and pops.
~Through the night, and darkness, we rush forward to the tops of the universe. What for we're?~
The original version of this song was composed, written and mixed on board of the night train to Berlin, in 2004. Here is an updated version number…
This is a song about finding momentary escape from the pain of loss.. and having it interrupted by the realisation that it's the anniversary of the day it all started;
Some days I get up
and I go to the park
and I sit in the dark
and I think…
This track is from the 1986 Scartaglen album "The Middle Path". The first tune "Jezaig" was composed by Breton musician Gilles Le Bigot. The second tune is one of the "Cantigas de Santa Maria" and is attributed to King Alfonso X of Spain

yeah when I first hear CV's tune I thought some Howlin Wolf or Tom Waits would work well over it, I just don't have the voice for it. Your version takes more of a Dr. John vocal tonality, which I like!
