Just one of those passing moods. Just finished today - august 2 2009. I resisted the temptation to try to develop it any further and just let it be what it is
the first multi track piece that I actually finished "in the box" in Cubase. An ambient kinda thing that grew out of playing around with the Line 6 DL4. Not sure I like the bow parts, but I may re do it later
Kirk, I like how you make it up, ( the last three words would be italicised if I could) What I mean is, you pull these songs out of a moment. And get to go someplace new and different. Getting to go there vicariously we ride along. Those are the moments we who play, sing write live for: when we touch into the other places. I admire how you find your self there. Does your world around you get what you do? And, thanks for your comments. And and, yeah, I realized Underneath My Skin had about 30 seconds of silence magically appended to it. My computer has had a ghost in the machine ever since the dread virus/trojan horse of February trashed its way through it. It's healed, but still has nightmares I guess. I'm pushing Steve my collaborator to get together again for some real sessions, so we can finally finish that song, and figure out what to do with the really great stuff we weren't able to get to in the RPM.
Sitting around in my shop a couple of days ago with the Goodall and the Zoom H4N. First time I've really messed with using the internal mics on the H4N in multitrack mode

I'm a complete idiot when it comes to all things midi related. Recently got myself a midi keyboard though and came up with this short piece just messing with sounds in Proteus. Really looking forward to the possibilities of combining this sort…
Mining the archives a bit. This is an alternate take of my "Jimi Jam" from a couple of years ago. Live to 2 tracks with the Jamman. Really only sounds OK when cranked up loud enough that your eardrums threaten to meet in the middle. LOL!!
oh ho! somebody rocks! so very tasty. had me movin' right across the floor. I would be very calm and satisfied afte laying down those lines..... so it must work, this anger management.

Several years ago I had a short lived duo with an oboe and English horn player named Nat. This is a demo from that period. It's an old old chord progression of mine that never really had a melody and Nat improvised this melody in the studio to…

Straight ahead stone city electric blues for an old friend who used to spend hours spinning BB King and Mike Bloomfield records for me. Recorded back sometime at the end of 2006 on old analog equipment

Instantaneously Yours is an internet collaboration between excellent percussionist Norm Harris and myself. I added 12 string, fretless bass and fretless ebowed guitar to Norm's Groove for Saint Ambrose. Since this was done for fun as a serial…
This evolved out of an exercise in a workbook I just got on music composition. The original task was to write a melody in the Dorian mode about water...
Songcrafters.org did a "Live in the living room "festival recently...
The only music I can play in my living room these days is the odd lot of contemplative classical guitar, as anything else would wake up the family at night... :)

Wonderful arrangement! That's enough to make me forget my Bah Humbug attitude. Love the jazzy bit toward the end, Kinda like a tip of the hat to Guaraldi
A friend told me a story of a rich man who bought all the products from a failing hardware store and kept it in his tool shed in the backyard. When my friend was instructed to grab a tool from the tool shed he was taken back by the amount of unopened…
Part six of the ten-part suite. The tracks segue continuously, so downloading them all and listening to them together is the intended experience. Thanks for checking it out!
Had the blues in Alabama
Had the blues in Texas too
Had the blues all over
Now I 'm givin' em to you
And if you don't want em
You know what you can do
You wont find me I'm goin' ta run and hide away from you
Because I see trouble

You just play so well!
Beautifully played guitar. I love the tone you got here, both the clean and overdriven sounds.
This is awesome! I love the percussion sounds.
your guitar is complaining with a suppressed anger... I think she want more heavy tracks like this :) of course me too. Excellent track
